According to u, u took d vehicle to do things which weren't authorised by d owner of d vehicle. D owner vehicle wasn't aware of what u were doing with his vehicle. If he was aware, would he have congratulated u?

Another is Bashir takes us as uninformed people who also might not have used the airport before, hence don't know airport protocols...'allowing friends access beyond certain limits to welcome representatives from the presidency'.
