Who says it's entirely fraudulent? Can you compare it to the old system of sending bulk funds to the universities? We were there at the start of IPPIS yrs ago and usually has this starting data entry hiccups that are Ultimately rectified and then it runs smoothly for new entrants. It can also accommodate additions if negotiated high up and established. This ASUU and FG fully dallying is emboldening other associations to rebel. I am on IPPIS and I am completely satisfied, my pensions are remitted when due and I get my arrears, promotions and upgrades in a timely manner. The Fg is running the ship, you can't just bring the unsolicited UTAS and expect to ram it down your employer's throat. If you don't like the terms, pls resign.
ASUU's membership even increased recently because of IPPIS because the VCs where forced to fill their employment quota, money that they had been eating and diverting for yrs from understaffing. I understand no system is perfect but this IPPIS has done some good and also cut off corruption at the lower levels, at least let's fight the battle higher up.

Have you ever used free software? For continued developer support, routine maintenance, warding off hacker attacks and fixing of glitches, you need to pay.

Anti-virus is different from a payment platform.

The same way they built IPPIS and government is paying for the platform is not different from the built UTAS given free. Both are built.

oga nobody is saying Ippis is a fraud...what ASUU are saying is that ippis cannot cover universities peculiarities, ssanu ,naat, nasu and asup re being paid by Ippis since 2020 and up till now those unions re still complaining of irregularities in there payment.. a platform that cannot correct workers pay for successful 9+ month should clearly tell u that truly ippis can't do universities job. oga check Pengasson, nasu, asup, college of education, ssnau have been complaining since February, by nothing has been done..
do you know why it's taking months?
let me tell you this that ippis was rented to fg and no modifications can be done on the platform here in Nigeria becos the BACKEND of the platform is in USA...any modifications will require additional charge on the 12$ per enrolee yearly due fg pays to them..

powerful reply my brother...this country can never progess if we don't learn on encouraging our own product.. fg pays close to 5bn naira to world bank just for a platform yearly for maintenance and charges While our academia could develop a similar stuff for FREE..
even if errors was found on utas, we should also applaud and encourage them and not criticism.

We cannot develop as a Nation. Rather than look inward, we depend so much on others for whatever they invent.

I keep asking one question, why do we have several research institute and institutions of higher learning, yet, we are not developing science and technology wise? If we all get to the root of this, we will discover that we have a bad government always wasteful just to loot.

Can you list some of the complaints here pls? People complain a lot, maybe the right tax was applied and they started crying wolf. if federal healthcare institutions with their own peculiarities are using IPPIS, what's so peculiar about nasu and ssanu? What's so peculiar about pengassan pls? We need to know because all workers have these so called 'pecularities'. All I see is that the chopping was removed from Lower down and moved up.
Which backend is in the USA exactly and which company? The whole effing internet routes through servers in the US and other parts of the world outside Nigeria and nothing has happened.

In the Northern Nigeria ASUU has done a lot in bring PMB government on board especially in 2015 general election.

Like I said, we were there at the start of IPPIS and it took a while to conform as it is a new experience. Give it time.

There is no sentiment in this. Your thoughts have revealed the usual sentiment.

No wonder the likes of Facebook and Twitter owners will come to Nigeria, pick our people to help grow their brand but the usual Nigerian thought will never make us see that we are good on our own.

Besides, why sound as if Lecturers who came up with this are illiterate and not knowledgeable. You keep reasoning as if you are speaking of people who don't know what they are doing. You talked about continuity, even a learner in I.T world knows this.

It is okay to be skeptical after asking ASUU to come up with a payment platform, right? Only to do a U-turn and go for IPPIS where government pay heavily for the platform. Besides, where is the place of test running and then, accept this than the hasty way of being always wasteful with the sole aim of looting in some cases.

SIR an IT expert cannot just assume and conclude that a software is impotent base on mere assumption, there conclusion will be base on the result obtained from series of testing,
