Hello fam. lipsrsealed

Am writing this incident with pain in my heart, I hope people will learn from this and not end up being a victim like me. This happened by November 2020, I was chatting on WhatsApp and someone shared a link of a WhatsApp group
And told me that they post technology related things and it may interest me since am in to that field. I joined the group it was locked but they really posted IT related news and tips, little did I know it was a trick to get us to trust him. Then one day he posted something concerning sportybet of how you can get 300k, by registering with just 100 naira shocked . Normally I don't care about things like that, but unfortunately at that specific time I was in a financial dilemma. I even had to burrow money which was 50k. So, on seeing that sportybet trick I got desperate and chatted him up and he told me to follow the procedure he outlined on the group platform. I did so and then he blocked me. He created a fake site where by I fill in those details I use in creating the sportybet account. Which includes account details. That was how I got scammed. Next thing I was seeing was unlimited debit alert cry . I was so dumbfounded to the extent that I almost fainted, because I had about 85k in my account where by 50k wasn't mine it was burrowed, in the end I blocked my account, the bank told me there's no way they could track the money. I summoned courage and told the owner of the 50k that it has been swindled and since then he has stop picking my calls and also doesn't reply my messages because he's angry and might be thinking I scammed him, am sure he has lost trust in me. I lost all my money and till now I haven't paid the money I burrowed.

Pls nairaland fam, don't contact those guys that post about making money with sportybet, shopwithscrip, ecodes, carding etc. They are SCAMMERS.

Oga, you fall hands aswear.

You should have been smarter than that.

How can someone promise to give you games in return for a token while he can actually stake it with everything he has got?

Did you by any means give out your ATM card details? That is the only means that could have prompted what happened to you to occur.

That's a proxy site created for the sole purpose of getting ur ATM details then using it to steal money from your account. That's not the geninue sporty bet website. You ought to have known.

Op how old are you?

How can you even call for this cheap scam?

Glaring red flags...

1. The fraudster can't even compose good English. Any company whose CSR is chatting with you on any social media platform would be very professional, their English would be organized and properly composed. this one sounded like a secondary school drop out Yahoo boy.

2. Fake site. Since he told you that the scheme was from sporty bet, the first thing to do was to Google sporty bet, check out the original website if such promo actually exist, if your curiosity isn't satisfied, you can search for their customer service number and give them a call.

3. ATM details, why would anyone ask you for your card details online? Why can't they ask you to transfer the hundred naira then request for your account details to credit you with the 330k. Apart from trusted merchant websites like jumia, konga... etc, I don't submit my card details anywhere. Scammers are everywhere looking for easy targets.

I'm sorry for your lost. You've learnt your lesson the hard way. I believe you'll be much wiser next time.

I won't blame the OP, he was so desperate but what would have given them away was when you saw a space to fill your card details, that was where the real scam was and that was what would have made u think twice and stop. Hard-luck, next time be more careful. But Op if i may ask, was it your card details and your card pin you filled or just your bank account details?

One idiot tried that shit to me, he drop a link which he claimed I will follow to get to his fix games, I follow the link expecting to see sign up or register...
I saw nothing of such only lovin, I was like how can I login without signing up?

He said I should use my msport details to login, immediately I login my details this idiot blocked my msport account..

I quickly click forgot password, na so I changed my password ASAP.
The idiot already transfer money from my baby account using the atm info I save in there and was ready to do deposit transfer to his account of which he already added his card.

Na so msport block everything including my account, and sent me an email that they observe an unusual activities on my account hence they they have frozen my account pending when I will present the necessary documents.

Got back to WhatsApp chat with the idiot, I insult nonsense komot for the idiot body, the only thing he can do was to called me a poor man for having one 46k in my account.

I told he is better to be poor than a thief.
