This is the current situation for all MMFs irrespective of the fund manager. Currently the highest you can get in the industry should be about 2%. I wouldn't know what you saw in your account but it should not be strange it's the reality on ground.

Note: the reason is not far fetch it's because TBills the major underlying assets of all MMFs has crashed in rate. It's already less than 1%. So don't be surprise.
I have always said it on this thread that VGIF remains a good alternative for folks that want a guaranteed capital and income.

VGIF- Vantage Guaranteed Income Fund is a mutual fund in the fixed income category.
Some features of the fund:
It's managed by Investment One
Capital and interest guaranteed
Rate is benchmarked with sdf and extra interest earned above the guaranteed rate
No WHT on the interest
Interest is earned daily and paid twice yearly
It's not tenor base like TBills. Investors determines how long they wish to invest in the fund

Please be informed that VGIF recently declared additional excess profit for 1st half of the year which is to be shared amongst subscribers who invested in the fund in first half of the year. Kindly note the process of reinvestment is still ongoing and upon completion the amount (as see in the transaction notification) would reflect on your statement or online portal.



Furthermore, the excess profit is different from the 7.5% guaranteed rate offered by VGIF which is still due to be paid at the end of the 2nd half of the year.

Is is true you must have about 1millon in your account before u use Stanbic brokers as ur firm..
I was about to fill their online form as my agents when o saw the about..
I need more enlightment from experienced folks if its a clause with a condition. as i ve about 20k to start with plan to keep topping up for the stocks i choose..

How long does it take investment one to complete registration. It's over a week now since they said they will notify me if my registration was successful

Within 48hrs if there is no kyc issues.

FBN Quest calls it fixed income fund but your capital fluctuates like low voltage, I have no clue what those guys are doing with our money, really.

Am guessing it's bond fund, so as the bond prices in the portfolio fluctuates so does the portfolio and the returns.

Stanbic MMF is getting really frustrating, I made deposit to their new account but it was returned after a week. I'm thinking of switching to Piggyvest but I still don't know how safe it is.
