Foreign oil majors have ripped Nigeria apart for over 6 decades! These are companies that have sponsored coups and wars in Nigeria but Nigerians don't know. Their presence here is the main reason the NNPC is an eyesore. Most of these oil companies, together with their home governments are responsible for sponsoring Nigerias war machine during the Nigeria-Biafra war and have different secret agreements with the army officers that played major roles in that war. This explains why western countries prefer brutal dictators masquerading as democrats to hold sway in Nigeria. Most of the joint venture agreements favor the foreign companies! Half of whatever Nigeria earns from oil in a day goes to these companies! Irekefe panel in the early 80s established the fact that in most pump stations, there are no metering of any sort. Essentially, oil companies will load oil into oil tankers and then quote figures to the Nigerian government through the ever comatose NNPC! This only happens in Nigeria! Not even in Kuwait or Libya will this happen.. Countries basically under western control! Part of the reason why western governments only make "silent noises" about government brutality in Nigeria is because of this reason! They need brutal tyrants to hold down restive youths so the oil companies can suck dry! A CIA report once stated that an African country produces more than double the amount of oil that is declared on daily basis! And that can only be Nigeria, since the report came before Angola joined oil exploration big time. Let's not go into deliberate environmental degradation unleashed by these evil imperialist companies on poor oil communities.., it's the worst in the whole wide world! I just hope that someday in our lifetime, a very hot headed president will take the fight to this oil companies for recruiting the worst of our kind, making them rulers over us and using their greed and lust for power to loot a generation bare.. 92 Likes 8 Shares |

The EFCC goons just want their share of the proceeds, once Mr. Laing settles their boss he will be let go and free to engage in more corrupt practices. The last thing Nigerian government with low esteem will do is incarcerate a Caucasian in those zoological cages called prisons. 2 Likes |

Fulani herdsmen are busy plundering and destroying your cocoa plantation and farmlands in the south. You are there ordering an arrest warrant on an expatriate over a private affair. We have quickly forgotten that revenue from cocoa and cash crops was what sustained the economy before the advent of oil. 2 Likes |

Why wouldn't he refuse to show up or send representatives, when white people are above Nigerian laws? His visa probably expired years ago, and immigration offices don't care, because he is white. This is the same reason Chinese, illegal Chinese immigrants, have set up base all over northern Nigeria; and for a pittance they are allowed to mine and steal natural resources. Nobody is questioning them. No prosecution. Let's not talk about the Lebanese and other Arabs. Can anyone tell us what happened to Mr Nielsen(or something like that), the white man who killed his Nigerian wife in Nigeria? You can be sure the stupid police released him after the photo shoot. There are no white people in Nigerian jails. What about that white man who killed a Nigerian man with a key in Abuja? This man drove away from the scene like a king. The police officer who went to pick him up couldn't even speak to him, let alone close one of his eyes or slap him. You can bet he was given the red carpet treatment. He was never paraded. No mugshot. No charges. He's probably holidaying in Majorca. The fear of white/yellow/gray skinned people is the beginning of Nigerian knowledge. White people will continue to get away with crimes in Nigeria, because Nigerians rever white skin, just like they rever politicians. They are waiting for them to drop hard currency to end the cases. They will always get away with it. @FisifunKododada Kobicove 3 Likes |

Rugaria:Sigh. I was moved to tears just reading what you've written. As in Libya, as in Nigeria. The day Nigerians will revolt against whoever is in power, America and Britain will act to make it look like they're restoring peace while finishing off the economy permanently. Libya never recovered. Its all about the oil. 6 Likes |
