And you will use your urine to power your cars in the North. Very soon, you will be using cattle to exchange for your folks when bandits catch them.

People are talking out of ignorance. When scarcity is created, price goes up. Before long, chicken, goat, fish will be so costly to get.

Welcome to Nairaland, where poultry does not qualify as meat. I fear the education members here received. All I know when it comes to edible flesh is meat and fish. If it isn’t fish then it’s meat. I guess chicken is a type of fish I am not aware of.

Hello all, we are getting it wrong.
Cattle rearing is not the exclusive business of the fulanis.
We have lots of igbo cows (ehi igbo) reared exclusively in igboland. In Anambra, i know they there's market for them. They are also in large quantities in Awgu, Enugu State and massive in some markets in Ebonyi. Our SW governors can collaborate and take many to SW.
Im in SE, there's cow meat everywhere, they cant even top 1 naira because nobody will buy.

Let me state this . The production of chicken and fish in Oyo state can sustain the whole Nigerian for a year.
If you doubt me come to
Afijio local gov
Oyo east
Oya west
Ilora and others within oyo township , all this local government, their major occupations is livestock production.

In oke ogun area during the rains season iseyin local government produces large quantity of various fruits, cassava, yam , soybeans, tomatoes, pepe's and others . Another good news is that people are now doing large fish ponds using excavator to dig it .

I don't need to go further, if you are familiar with terrain of oyo state generally you will know that oyo state alone can feed the whole southern Nigeria excluding others state .

Many international organizations since past three year has direct their resources to agriculture production in oyo state because the people there are best known to practice it.

If not because of low rain fall last year as a result of climate change we won't have experienced food shortages.

All this bla bla by northern oligarchy we soon discover the faith that we befall them

Ire ooooo

I rep OMO ODUDUWA tongue
the North also experienced the same shortage of rain fall and always experience it but always have enough production. My point is, if you really want to go into farming u should also consider alternative water supply for ur crops.
