MizMyColi:
Somebody should please school me.

1). Is the federal government responsible for the payments? If yes, does it mean the federal government has been owing Imo state for 13 months or more? shocked

2). Does Imo state generate IGR? If yes, can't it be used to pay these teachers?

No insults please.
This is not sarcasm.
exactly my same questions, let me also add has the number of workers increased since the last 13 months? Our leaders are ao wicked... So so shameful

It depends on your area of interest but I'll suggest you start an event photography outfit. Get a good camera @130k, Good website @ 70k or more, Good Graphic Artist on pay as u go basis to do photoshop for u if you don't have the skill, A cheap android tablet @ 50k to show your clients your works, a good bb for regular BCs and a good laptop @ 85k. Please note that the graphic artist will have his laptop. Fix a facebook page and a business card. Start telling people what you do. All the best. You can start from your church or mosque. Take pictures of naming ceremonies for free. Big things start small. Plus there's little or No risk ... you don't even need a shop or office for now. Just start small.

I owe dad 50k and mum 50k, I bought a shirt of 97k, 97000 divided by 2 is 48500, meaning I owe dem 48500 + 1000 = 49500 each, but I returned 1k each, and kept 1k for my self, dat means I now owe dem each 48500 + 500 i.e. 1k I kept for my self divided by 2, meaning I owe dem 49,000 each, plus d 1k I returned earlier, dat makes it 50,000naira each:p

I went through the comments from the original source and this touched me so i decided to share...

/sigh, how is this for a motive? He decided that working 40+ hours a week, 5 to 6 days a week, 50 to 52 weeks a year all until he dies just so that some a-hole can sit on their butt and make 1000 times more then he does was a waste of his life/time. Then he could get him some ungrateful women (girlfriend or wife) that wants to use and abuse him even more then his boss does. Such a wonderful life to look forward to...it is a wonder more people do not go crazy with how this country/planet is ran.

Way to many career mother's working 40+ hours a week when they should being a "mother" to their children. If you want to work your entire life DO NOT HAVE KIDS. If you have kids STOP WORKING AND TAKE CARE OF THEM. This country wastes more money due to bad parenting then can be easily calculated just look at the schools and prisons). They are not my kids so what makes you think I or any other male for that matter wants to take care of them for you? What happened to the original male/father and what are you going to give to me in return for working harder/extra? Way to many women want to have their cake and eat it too.

The child is half the father's too and he should have a say in how that child gets raised. It is not an excuse to leave the father and divorce him simply because he does not agree with you on every single aspect of how you are going to raise "your" child. Worrying about if a f***ing cookie will have an effect 20 years from now is neurotic to say the least. WTF about all the other spoiling you do to your children and what effect will that have 20 years from now? Maybe that is why I want to beat the little bastard's a$$ today, to prevent/correct a problem 20 years from now. Maybe that is why I want to beat so many people's a$$es. I could use an a$$ beating myself more then likely too tongue. "Spare the rod and spoil the child" is fine, but it does not say to NEVER use the rod, just sparingly.

Stop trying to be their damn friend and instead be their damn parent like you should be. They have plenty of stupid a$$ friends, but only TWO parents.

Thankfully no one was killed.

Ask4bigneyo: Every successful marriage is a product of adequate preparation...

It is ur preparation dt detms ur xperience...

Ppl take so many time in sch studying abt rats n lizards bt wen it cums to marriage, they tink it z just to find a partner n walk-up to an altar...
Pls take ur time to read books abt marriage so as to prepare u ahead of marriage and there is no oda tym to prepare dan now dt u r stil single. Being a single is nt a sin, it z a stage u must pass tru in ur life. Life is in phases yl men are in sizes and every phase u accomplish in ur life prepares u 4 anoda one...

NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE SAYETH THE LORD TALKLESS OF GETTING PREGNANT!

Igboran san ju ebo riru, i fi eti sile san ju ora agbo lo!

GLORY!

exactly my point, what does the bible say about marriage? God instituted marriage and He hates sex. If u wanna experience honor in ur marriage, no premarital sex.

Someone once said, the world is not bad because of bad people but because good people have refused to do something about it. I love and respect Osaze a lot, for having the guts to come forward and tell us the truth, he knows there will be an uproar from all affected and I guess he is prepared for that. Life ban or no ban, that won't change the fact that he was telling the truth.

Family / Re: The Challenges Of Being The 1st Child by simo2rule(m): 7:20am On Dec 15, 2012
Kobojunkie: @Poster, you need a serious re-orientation here. You, like millions of Nigerians, are stuck believing that there is a manual when it comes to how to achieve happiness, that you probably fail to step back and enjoy what you have in your love right now. That is a quick way to failing in life.

There is no straight template when it comes to happiness, and there is no rule on how old you need to be to get one thing or another. You don't have money saved up for marriage at 28, so what? What stops you from saving up by the age of 35 or even 42 for marriage? So you don't have a galfriend at the age of 28? So what? What stops you from getting one by age 51, or before? or even after that? You don't have a house built by age 28, na by force? Where is it written that you must build a house by then or . . . ? I suggest you go back and think again on what it means to live. I don't see what your being the first child has to do with anything. Thinking that way reveals firsthand that you have no clue what life is, still.

So you have had a job for 2 years, great. Keep working hard and make sure to enjoy life even as you work. And when I say enjoy life, I don't mean the stu_pid nonsense that passes for enjoyment in Nigeria. I am talking even of the simple things like enjoying food, breathing in fresh air, enjoying the scenery, spending time with your mother and siblings and enjoying each other's company the much you can. So many of those whom you probably envy do not have such luxuries. Many of them have no option but to keep working like dogs to maintain what they have so far acquired. Many of them are happy but they know what they had to pay for it. So, before it is your turn, learn to enjoy yourself where you are, on the way to where you are going and stop throwing yourself pity parties and worrying over nothing. Like the bible says, no amount of worrying will make things happen.
many thanks for this insightful encouraging words. The lord will bless u mightily

The fact that everybody look up to you, plus you are an example to your siblings, sometimes when you have some setbacks they learn from you tongue and if you are the type that has a very good life, you are the standard for measuring how you younger ones are faring. In ma case, it has been a very huge moral responsibility.

maclatunji:

This is one of the reasons I started this thread. I want to know if married woman consciously prevent themselves from posting photos that for all intent and purposes may be deemed "sexy". The reason I ask is they would then get comments like, "looking good", "fine girl", "fine mama", "looking cute and sexy". It does make me wonder if a married woman should be doing such? Personally, I believe it opens doors that should be closed especially as a married woman.

If it is a single lady, you could probably say she is being exuberant, seeking attention, looking for a husband etc. But for a married woman, these things shouldn't apply or come into play at all.

I am sure most husbands wouldn't appreciate such.

This sud apply to married men too

Even CNN interview im mama and foster mama, Procter and gamble use them do advert. Even @ 25, I can't tell ma parents I gat a GF, U can't just say u are going to a club, not that they will beat me or anything, My reason is simply values that ma parents diffused, instilled and in some cases forced on me when my heart was open. I wanna thank ma parents for those times they whipped ma ass.. I admire Creflo a lot, he is one of ma favorite preachers, but he shouldn't have choked her, the whole thing stems from the fact that he refused to pass good values to his daughter when her heart was still young.
