I learnt from a friend that I should have chosen 32 pages. I have paid for the 64pages online yesterday. Can I still change it to 32 pages? Will those people consider me and give me the 64pages? Who told you address is not an issues infact I'm having similar issue.
My NIN address which is old address is different from my current house address I used for Passport application. I was told my online details didn't match with my NIN details the thing is making me stranded I don't know what to do my capturing date is September date

Hello all. This thread has been really useful to me. I need help please

I skipped my middle name while filling in the data for my passport application online. I'm going the DIY route. My capture date is September 12th.
I tried tracking my application and it's saying "error mismatch between data and NIN. Report to office for correction" (not exact words but close).
I didn't fill in my middle name while applying for the passport, but my NIN shows my middle name. I felt it was not important when filling in the form as it was marked as "optional".

As every other detail matches with my NIN except this, will i be okay?

Please is this a problem? If yes, how do i sort it out? Do i need to go to the office before the capture date? And does this affect the date? Since i am going the DIY route i wouldn't want anything to mess me up on the day of my capture.

I also tried tracking my child's application & it's bringing up an error saying the reference number and application ID cannot be found. But when i tried inputting it to know if i could edit , her details came up, letting me know it was already submitted so could not be edited. Do i have anything to worry about concerning hers? We are both meant to capture on the 12th of September.

I'd really appreciate a response to help me out. Thank you

So u can fill the date of birth on your birth certificate.

Bcz my sister's birth certificate says 1999 while her NIN says 1998. I want 1999 to be on the passport. Hope its possible without going to change dob on NIN.

Grateful to God and for this Nairaland community, I went through the DIY route, I captured on June 3rd, my passport is already out@ Abuja HQ, I even collected the officer’s contact that did my capture and he assisted me to confirm that it’s ready

I have finally collected my passport today without paying shishi… Victory to TeamDIY…. And please don’t rely on that tracking site to get to the last lap, it was showing the second to the last stage but I decided to check on it after seven weeks of capturing… Total Cost = 26k each for both passport

Having been waiting to read your report on how your capturing went. I am supposed to be a team DIY but as it stands I have also paid an officer making it a hybrid processing. I am scheduled for 21st, I however visited there last week Thursday to see how things are done and on getting there I decided to call one officer who I had initially wanted to use last year before learning I can DIY. He came and I showed him my appointment letter, he took me to a cyberscafe where they printed the evidence of payment (usually accessed from a code in your appointment letter), he asked for some of my other documents and I luckily had some of scanned and on my email, so I sent them to be printed

It was the "bio data" English that caused me to decide to give him money, I didn't want to start asking anybody to help me get their bio data, so I asked him to use his. This request coupled with that little help he rendered in printing my documents raised the need for money to exchange hands. I kukuma gave him 12k to assist me in getting approval and court stamping plus file opening.


It was when I came back in the evening that I saw someone explain what the "bio data page" meant as simply the page in the intl passport having the person's details. I could have easily asked someone for that.

My only annoyance is that the officer is saying he didn't charge me compared to what other officers charge in Abj office and is thus calling it a favour. It's all good.

I would really like to know if it is possible to go the DIY route in Abj without paying a dime to officers.

I paid 120k and I was told I will be going to Abuja for the capture. Please does it take this time for the capturing date to come.
