Women will frustrate you but you need help spiritually and physically especially if you are jobless like this man. The man should have seek a better job in order to silence the woman pride instead of killing her, now the man will be in jail forever and the children will never forgive their father forever. You see unlike we men when a woman becomes the breadwinner or richer than the husband, everything they possess belongs to her but men riches are for the family. As men we need to be spiritually grounded and understand the time. Things happen women changes especially when they are in power as in financially rich, their husband becomes nothing, men you will be disgrace and humiliated in front of everybody including your family. The man should have exercise patient, continue to manage his work and pray and pray, the man lost his temper instead of moving on and arranging his life. I knew what the man faces but killing your wife is never the solution. May God help we men in this perilous time.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran's Statement To The United Nations About Its Attack On Israel by tubolancer(m): 6:24am On Apr 14
samonak:
Israel drew the first blood. Attacking the Iranian embassy in Syria which resulted in the killing of 7 Senior military officers is an act of war. The hypocrisy of the West and United Nations in general is evident is in their continued silence. Israel can eliminate their enemies any where in the world but the choice of hitting an embassy of a sovereign nation, was a little too far and also an open declaration of war. As expected, Iran has to retaliate, if for anything but to save face. The domino effect will be massive and would threaten the stability of the gulf region.
But Israel did not attack Iran on their territory. By attacking a country with deadly drones is an act or declaration of war, I think Israel has the right to defend herself. Iranian generals were killed outside their border of which the Iranian can also retaliate by killing or destroying some Israeli interest outside the border of Israel which she (Iran) have been doing over a decade ago even recently.

Oga there's a difference between fighting bandits who use guerrilla tactics, compared to fighting an enemy who is fighting to hold onto territory...it is easier for bandits to blend in and hide, they do not have very heavy weapons, that is why fighting such enemy will need a different approach compared to what u posted ..
But Boko Haram held on to a territory bigger than some western countries for many years even till now and we are still fighting with them. We need superior tactics to liquidate all these economy rascals if we are to defeat them. And mind you the bandits possess heavy weapons, if they don't have heavy weapons how come they shot down an attack helicopter. We are fighting a very formidable forces and will need to be brutal about bringing them to their knees if not the Nigerian army will continue to lose many men and personnels.

I don't like the Nigeria army war tactics, as a civilian I have studies several countries military tactics and the one I prefer most is the United States military strategies and overall tactics. Let me just break it down in a simple way, firstly after lots of information and data, they use their warplane to attack enemy position, follow by artillery fire powers, the tanks then the soldiers come last to finish the job, destroying the remnants of the enemy. We have new war planes, new armour tanks and these bastards are still kidnapping, killing the soldiers.

Politics / Re: No Student Will Drop Out Again, Says Tinubu by tubolancer(m): 9:11am On Apr 04
shafykay:
No student will drop out of university over inability to pay tuition, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said yesterday.
He spoke after signing the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill 2024 into law.

It was during a brief signing ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The President said the new law was passed to ensure that no citizens will miss out on quality education on account of poverty or lack of opportunity.

He said: “I have just signed a bill proclaiming the student loan effective.

“First of all, I must thank members of the National Assembly for their expeditious handling of this bill, considering that education is the tool to fight against poverty.

“We are determined to ensure that education is given the proper attention, including skills development programmes.

“This is to ensure that no one, no matter how poor their background is, is excluded from quality education and opportunity to build their future

We are here because we are all educated and were helped. In the past, we saw a lot of our children drop out of college.

“That is no more. No matter who you are, as long as you are a Nigerian citizen, you can apply.”

The amended bill was sent by the President to the National Assembly last month. It got a record passage at the two chambers, having been passed after just three legislative days.

The key highlight of the new law is the funding of the loan.

One per cent of the annual revenue generated by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) will be dedicated.

This year the FIRS has a tax revenue target of N19.4 trillion.

Should the FIRS hit its 2024 target, it means that N194 billion will go to the student loan fund.

Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, explained that the law was all-encompassing

He said: “This is a very great day for the country, for education, and for Nigerian students and who have a great need for support.

“We thank Mr President for his compassion and passion for the downtrodden, who are the beneficiaries of this scheme.

“Now, the days when students will be struggling to sponsor themselves in their various educational endeavours are over – both at the tertiary and those who are seeking skills.”

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) President Lucky Emonefe said: “We’re happy. We’ve seen Mr President’s commitment to the development of education and today the entire education system is happy.

Students are happy; our parents are happy. Even the children of the poor can have access to quality education.

“Signing the bill shows that Mr President is the father of modern education in Nigeria. He’s a hero of education, so we’re happy.”

The Senate and House of Representatives passed the Bill on March 20 after considering the report of the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND.

The law provides for the establishment of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund and removes the family income threshold as a condition for accessing the loan.

Under the law, false declaration attracts three years in jail, while there is loan repayment forgiveness in case of a beneficiary’s death.

The hurdles of a guarantor, a parent’s debt profile and others in the old Act have been removed, thereby making it easier for the loan to be accessed.

President Tinubu, on June 12, 2023, signed into law the defunct Student Loan Bill to provide interest-free loans to Nigerians seeking higher education.

At the bill signing event were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau; Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of State for Education Yusuf Tanko Sununu and Minister of State for Youth Development Ayodele Olawande.
Baba things are not working fine at all, no job, no food nothing and yesterday you increased the electric tariff, this is bad considering that the citizens have suffered eight years before you took over.

IPP or solar farm?

But why can't Nigeria manufacture things like solar panels? Nigerian education is a total mess. All talk, nothing to show for it.

Honestly, no! During my curious age, I wanted producing solar panels. After using Fx series of casio calculator, I removed the solar panel to check the secret. I made real research.....

That was when I learnt of stuff like photosensitive materials, electron jump, silicon cell etc.

At such a tender age, I only knew how to improvise to set up all those components. I was haunted by my dad who never wanted to see me "play" but study, my limited knowledge of where to get those materials, my symbian phone which will always reference everything to US and UK.

After years of unsuccessful attempts, I landed in the university and the haunting continued, even worst.

It was an abandoned dream and abandoned hope.
Nevertheless, I was able to produce speakers from scratch. Achieved just by wounding coils around magnetic field and using silver film to reflect the sound.

I failed in:
Solar panels
Generating electricity with motors without battery
Electronic bell
Transistor radio.

In summary, Nigerian education is trash, it buries your aspirations. I later picked Civil Engineering in the University and it's still trash. I can only attribute 95% of the real world knowledge I have now to my Catholic secondary school.
There is nothing in Nigerian University, just like you I learn everything in secondary school.
