LET’S DIVE IN…

Before I start any training at all, I like to talk about laying a solid foundation.

If you pay heed to the following and bring them to the table, you are giving yourself a good chance of succeeding with this training.

Firstly, not everyone who zips through the lessons and pages of this thread will make money with the information shared. It’s the truth.

While I’ll do my best to reveal everything as much as you need to get started, some people will read from page 1 to the last page and still fail with this. And that’s down to many factors.

The most common one being the FEAR to launch into the deep. i.e taking action.

You see, getting access to these lessons alone without putting into practice all that you learn is not enough to get results. Gaining knowledge is one thing and putting that knowledge into practice is quite another thing entirely.

So I am pleading with you, in order NOT to be among the percentage of people who will not make any headway with this, be ready to take action.

One of my FB friends once said: “An idiot who takes action is better than the genius who sits and thinks things through.”

So whatever you learn, in order to make it work, start taking action.

I can’t preach the importance of that enough.

Secondly, this thread on its own is not going to be the only thing you need.

While this will be chucked full with more than good-enough strategies to get you started and profitable as fast as possible, there are still other things you will need to learn that this thread may not have provided. There are other resources out there that you should also check out.

To even save costs you can make use of Google, Youtube, etc. But never stop learning and never stop improving.

Lastly, giving up shouldn’t be an option. Because this really works.

When you start out, things might be incredibly difficult for you. That is normal. A lot of things we start out as newbies need time to get used to.

But if on encountering a few difficulties, you decide to call it quits just a few weeks into your new business, then you may have missed a potentially great opportunity to carve out something sensational for yourself.

There is something called uninformed optimism…

It is the excitement people feel when they spot a new opportunity…

The brain picks up the signal that this is something that could benefit that person. It releases dopamine and gets the person optimistically excited about trying out this opportunity.

What happens to most people after this is that when they begin digging into this new opportunity, they start to see that work is actually required to succeed with it.

At this stage, their optimism starts to fade away…

Doubts start to creep in…

Fear shows its ugly face…

At this stage, the person is said to be experiencing informed pessimism.

From informed pessimism, they slip into the “valley of despair.”

This is the lowest of the lows.

...the nadir of the journey with this new thing.

It is at this stage that many, many people QUIT!

But those who persist and push through this phase will MOST likely start to see success.

They will get their first win.

With that win comes confidence.

Belief will come that “yes, I can do this.”

This stage is called informed optimism…

And that is why motivational speakers like to preach to you about never giving up. Because it aligns perfectly with how our brain treats new info.

Make of that little psychology lesson what you will.

P.S. Got questions?

Don’t hesitate to have a field day below...

HOW THIS THREAD WILL WORK:

I remember saying at the start of this thread that the lessons will mostly be in video format.

They can take some time to put together and edit.

With that in mind, you can expect to receive lessons every other day, over the course of the next 3 weeks.

The days in-between should be implementation days for you.

On those days, try to put into action all that you have learned the previous day.

The people who will get the most out of this thread are those who take action without overanalyzing things.

You will figure things out as you go along.

I always like to say that it is in the heat of the battle that the most long-lasting lessons are learned.

A twitter friend of mine summed that up brilliantly when he recently wrote this:

"You will learn EVERYTHING that you need to WHILE RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS Instead of spending 6 months with all the courses and taking action for just 2 months Study for 3 weeks and then learn as you go "

By the way, twitter is a platform I intend to utilize more very soon. You can follow me there, too. My profile link is in my signature.

So be among one of those who will be doers and not only watchers.

And if there’s anything that doesn’t look clear to you while taking action come to this thread and ask questions.

I’ll do my best to help you gain clarity.

Finally, I will update this thread from time to time, so click on the “follow” link now in other to stay in the loop and get notified when new updates drop.

THE GOAL OF THIS THREAD:

The goal of this thread is very simple:

I want to help as many freelancers as possible get their FIRST client on LinkedIn.

If you already utilize the LinkedIn platform and have already bagged clients from directly off the platform, you are awesome. Keep doing what you are doing. You probably wouldn’t learn anything new here.

But if you have NEVER grabbed a client directly from LinkedIn before, then this thread is perfect for you.

My goal is to help you get your first paying-client from that platform within the next 60 days.

If this thread can help even just 20 freelancers achieve that, I would be more than glad.

And guess what?

If you can get ONE client, you can get TEN.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves yet…

Thing is...

The first win is usually the hardest.

But once you have one win under your belt, belief comes that you can do this.

With belief comes confidence etc etc…

So if you can get one client. Then you can rinse and repeat all you did to get more clients.

Makes sense?

Hello and welcome here…

If you are a freelancer who desires to have more clients walk through your door and sign lucrative contracts with you, this thread might be of help to you.

I am about to DEMONSTRATE -- over the course of the next 3 weeks -- how you can market yourself and fill your calendar with quality prospective clients, using LinkedIn.

It doesn't matter what services you render… or what skills you have, the strategies you will learn here are applicable for writers, graphic designers, social media marketers, web developers and just about any freelancer.

And guess what?

It's going to be mostly videos, because there will be a lot of demonstrations to be done.

If that tickles your fancy, you are welcome to join this ride.

I usually like to do something big for others - a group of people or an individual - around this time of the year because it’s my birthday month. And I personally feel the best way to ‘celebrate’ it is to share something useful with others.

Creating this thread is how I choose to do it this year. And you can be sure I will make every effort to make this thread worth it.

So buckle up as we shift into high gear…

WHY LINKEDIN?

Short answer:

The kind of clients you want to work with aka your dream clients are littered all over the platform.

CEO, Marketing managers, founders, owners, co-founders, and all the cream de la creme of big companies/organizations are hanging out on LinkedIn.

So it makes sense to POSITION yourself on this platform with the hopes of catching the attention of some of these big fishes.

I always used to hear about the power of LinkedIn for getting clients…

But I underrated it, and never took it serious, until a few months back.

The potential of that platform is C-R-A-Z-Y!

So stick around if you’d love to utilize it in your freelancing business...

EMAIL FORMULA #13: Problem/Solution

This one is also very straight forward.

It is actually a kind of watered-down version of the PASO formula I talked about sometime last week.

You simply tell them about a problem… and how to solve it (with your or client’s product).

Here’s a possible way to lay this out:
1 I’ve noticed a really big problem in the industry/world today.
2. Tell ‘em about the problem.
3. A lot of people think THIS is the best way to solve this problem.
4. But it’s actually this way…
5. Here’s why…
6. Here’s what happens when you solve this problem MY way…
7. Here’s an easy way to make that happen.
8. CTA.

An example of this email:

Subject: From ouch to ohhhhh….

Making love is a beautiful, healthy experience all of us should enjoy on a regular basis.

But sometimes, this pleasurable experience turns into a painful nightmare.

If you’ve ever experienced pain during intercourse, there are a number of factors that might be at play here. And if you let them go untreated, things will only get worse as time goes on.

If you’ve ever suffered from this, I want to help you.

That’s why tonight at 7:00 pm Pacific Time, I’m giving a special Facebook live training on my Facebook page called…

How To Go From Ouch To Ohhhh [LINK]

You’re going to discover:

● How to treat vaginal dryness and other common causes of pain
● The do’s and don’ts when you start feeling pain
● How to increase the pleasure of every experience you have, no matter what your age

It’s starting soon - hope you can make it.

Here’s the link one more time:

Email FORMULA #12: STRAIGHT PITCH

This kind of email doesn’t hide the fact that what you are about to read is a sales pitch.

It’s particularly useful to deploy after sending a number of other emails in a promotion.

You’d see Ben Settle do this all the time.

When he writes this type of email his subject line is usually something in these lines:

“A blatant sales email…”

“A shamelessly blatant pitch…”

The purpose of this email is to just sell the damn thing (there’s a book titled “Just Sell The Damn Thing” by Dan Dobberman, another badass copywriter).

So here’s a possible way to lay this out in an email:

1 Hey, I got this cool thing you might be really interested in.
2. Here’s what it is called.
3. Here’s what it does for you.
4. Here’s some reasons to buy/hidden benefits.
5. Go get it right now: CTA).

Here’s an example of this email:

Subject line: Quite possibly the most blatant sales pitch you will see today…

The deadline to get the February “Email Players” issue is today, when I send it to the printer.

If you want in, here is the link:

[LINK]

Ben Settle

P.S. If'n you are new 'round these parts, for context on what’s inside the February issue, here is what I recently wrote about it:

===

The secret elBenbo protocol for creating cash flow “on demand”

Not a big fan of the whole publicly counting money thing.

But, I am not sure how else to explain the following method of creating a reliable, repeatable, and very customer-loving way for creating some smackola on demand, once, twice, even three times or more per year, depending on how ambitious you are, how well you have your act together with your offers, and how serious you are about being in business as opposed to being a contemptible, do-nothing little new product junkie or marketing hobbyist.

Anyway, here’s the story:

Early last year, Yours Gruesome tested a special sale that, unlike virtually all my offers… was intended specifically for the hyper buyers on my list.

Usually, I ignore the hyper buyers.

i.e. those who buy everything & anything - especially low priced "impulse" offers.

The reasons are many, and I’ve yapped about them before.

But, for reasons that included wanting to help a lot of ye olde hyper buyers out for a change, wanting to test a new kind of offer, and (the biggest reason of all) also I had just bought a new Lair, and I wanted to more easily pay it off as soon as the 6 month window I had to carry a mortgage for in order to not screw over my mortgage guy (he wouldn’t have gotten paid his commission had I paid it off earlier) hit… I decided to do this special sale.

Anyway, short story long:

This sale — when used in conjunction with my Email Players methodology — was the fastest, simplest, and easiest scratch I probably ever done made up in this business.

It took about an hour to set it up — sales page & emails.

And, due to being burned out from moving to a new Lair, I completely half-assed it.

Spent only an hour or so combined on the emails & sales page.

The result:

$16k in sales.

Not exaggerated goo-roo launch numbers, or anything worth bragging about.

But not too shabby for about an hour or so of “work.”

Plus, if I’d done a few of the simple things I was too burned out to do, I’d have very likely doubled or tripled that.

Which brings me to the plop:

You, too, can possess this template for a tried-and-true profitable offer to use and reuse (I will be doing another one later next month) each year once I instruct you in the alphas & omegas of how to do it for your business. And potentially do it the same day you learn it, if you choose.

The only caveats are:

1. You will have to have a list

2. You will have to have at least a modest amount of content already created or be willing to create said content — eBooks, videos, audio, does not matter

3. You will have to not be a contemptible new product junkie who just buys info products but never uses them or a marketing hobbyist

In other words:

Maybe 5% of the people in all of the land of Internet Markania can use this template.

But, it’s only to those 5% I cater too anyway.

The rest can continue being social media bar flies or excuse makers, or whatever it is the vast majority of wannabes do when they aren’t foolidhly swiping, mining pirate sites for free content they'll never use, and searching for shortcuts to prevent having to do any real work.

Harsh?

I certainly hope so.

I intend to quadruple down on my customer curation this year.

That said, this sales template is something I will be using over and over and over going forward, and there’s no reason you can’t also use it to make sales on demand, practically any time you desire to, using content you’ve *already* created, sending emails you’ve *already* written, and, yes, utilizing sales copy you’ve *already* slaved over, and would like to get paid on perpetually instead of just once or once in a while.

The details of this little ditty are in the coming February “Email Players” issue.

Including what to do.

What NOT to do (I screwed myself quite badly in lost sales).

And, how to make it go smooth as honey for your righteous business.

This issue, of all issues I’ve written in over 100 issues published, potentially contains the most immediate, cash-in-the-bank info I’ve taught. Simply follow my special “recipe” with the ingredients I lay out, shove it in the oven, and wait for the proverbial timer to ding and pull out some quick profits for your business.

All right enough teasing.

The deadline to get this issue is coming up fast.

And, as people who try to subscribe after the deadline each month are fast learning — I am a tyrant about not letting people in. Including going as far as turning the newsletter off in the shopping cart after the deadline — always prompting the procrastinators to think they are doing me some kind of favor “letting me know” my cart has a glitch or whatever.

It’s no glitch in the software, Maynard.

The glitch is your procrastination.

Okay enough.

If you do NOT have the qualifications above, don’t bother subscribing.

This issue will do nothing but add to your pile of other trainings you never use.

Go find some goo-roo on facebook to haunt instead.

Otherwise, here’s the link for the handful of businesses left both qualified & interested in this:

Email FORMULA #11: TESTIMONIAL EMAIL

This one is similar to the case study email.

But in this case, instead of trying to dissect how a customer used the product to gain the result that they did, you let their words do all the heavy lifting.

Here’s a way to lay it out in your email:

1 Talk about an email you got from a customer…
2. Here’s what they had to say __________
3. Insert testimonial/screenshot of testimonial
4. If you want to get similar result, then get {NAME OF PRODUCT]
5. Here’s where to get it (CTA).
Here’s an example of this email:

Holy crap - he already got a client...

Alright, this is pretty crazy.

Email Copy Academy hasn't even started yet and one of our members already landed a client.

Check out this post from inside the ECA Facebook group:

{SCREENSHOT]

Wanna know what advice I gave him?

Sorry... that's only available to Email Copy Academy students.

Now listen... this member is a hustler. He works his ass off.

I am NOT guaranteeing you can expect the same kind of results, and land a client before class has even begun.

But if you want to learn how to create email campaigns that sell... either for your own business or for clients... or if you want to have a lucrative career as an email copywriter... then ECA is the place to be.

Remember, registration closes today.

And the next time I reopen, the price is going to double.

If you want in hit reply and say "I'm in" and I'll get you the details.

Hope to see you inside...

Chris Orzechowski

P.S.

I was a little hesitant to have a FB group, because I'm not a huge fan of FB as a company. But I'm actually quite happy with this group!

Lots of high-level people.

Lots of great advice from people who are DOERs... not dreamers.

I think it's going to become one of the most valuable email copywriting groups out there, in time.

That's my goal anyway.

NOTE: Look at that part where he says this:

Wanna know what advice I gave him?

Sorry... that's only available to Email Copy Academy students.

From what you've learned so far, WHAT DO YOU THINK MR. Chris did there? Let me know below.

HELLO Everyone:

It's like many of us do not understand the "email formula" lessons I have been dropping here before my ban.

It's like handling you a blank check to do with it what you want. With these email formulas you can write 10 emails from a particular formula to sell just one product and a client wouldn't even know.

I was expecting to see questions from y'all concerning them, but it seems many are not even reading them.

Do let me know if anything is confusing, though. I'd do my best to explain.

Bro how do u source for stories on Quora?
You don't have to "source". Just follow topics of interest and once questions are asked go and look at replies. People tell stories via their answers all the time.

P.S. Twitter is good too.

Just this week, I saw someone use this phrase while reacting to a video of C. Columbus's status being pulled down:

"And the Lord said to Felicia, bye."

Immediately, I went to google doc and created an email out of that statement and the statue being pulled down.

Like I said last week, just have your antennas out always, observe, and be constantly thinking of how you can turn simple everyday convos, stories, news, happenings etc into an email that either bonds with a subscriber or sells them a product.

P..P.S . Another place to look at is the comments section of YouTube. That place is a treasure trove.

Good afternoon
please I have an important questions to ask,

1) what does portfolio means on Upwork and how do I set it up

2)You asked us to send relevant samples when submitting a proposal for a job , now my question is this for we newbie that basically don't have one how do we go about it ?
and if we happen to compose samples by ourselves without link wouldn't it look creepy for client to give us the Job?

please I would love answers anyone!

it's really urgent

Thank you.
1. Kindly do a Google search for number 1. I can't really explain that now.

2. I already talked about something called the OFB approach. Simply go on Upwork, look at job posts that you'd be interested in doing, then cratt a sample around what the client is saying. For example, if a client said they wanted 5 sales emails to sell a book on weight loss, I would write 5 emails that sell a book on Yoga, It can be an imaginary book or a book concept you peeked from a place like Amazon, or even Clickbank.

EMAIL FORMULA #10: X ways to Y…

This is like an algebraic formula or something.

But in truth, this doesn’t have anything to do with mathematics.

What you simply want to do here is to show readers X benefits/ways to getting a good Y result.

Here’s how this formula can be used to craft an email:

1 If you are trying to ______________, then here is a few things that I have discovered that work really well…

2 List each of ‘X’ and explain the what and why… without revealing the HOW.

3 Want to know a simple way to make all of these things work at once?

4 Get my product it will help you (Y BENEFITS)

5. CTA

Here is an example:

Subject line: 4 ways to become an expert copywriter in 90 days (or less)

Last Friday, I held a three-hour ask-me-anything style coaching session.

(It was a bonus for all the people who bought my course with Kim.)

The call started off with a lot of questions about client-getting stuff, which as all good fun. But I was happy to see as time went on, people started asking questions about HOW TO GET GOOD at actually writing copy.

That is, after all, part of the what we're trying to do... right?

Someone asked the question:

"How did YOU get good at copy?"

So instead of hiding that information from you, I figured I'd just tell you four things that really helped me progress a lot faster. And I'm gonna show you a few daily habits that can get you REALLY good in 90 days or less.

Here you go...

1. Read ads every single day

This one's kind of obvious, right? I mean Gary Bencivenga said a long time ago that the secret to becoming elite was a steady diet of one control ad a day. Reading it... and then figuring out a way to beat it.

That is incredibly difficult. At first. But soon - just like lifting weights - you develop that "muscle" in your brain and it gets easier and easier.

Personally, I try to read hundreds of ads each day.

I'm kind of obsessed. Because I wanna win.

I wanna win so much that you get tired of winning. And guess what? You're gonna say "Chris, please stop. I'm so tired of all the winning, please... give me a break." But then, I'm just going to keep winning some more.

I try to learn something from every TV ad I see. From every FB ad in my newsfeed. Even from Twitter ads... which sometimes aren't that great as Twitter is kind of poison for your brain. I try to look at all the emails in my inbox and dissect WHY certain ones got my attention... and how I can adapt them for the work I do for my clients, if possible.

It's gotta be a daily practice if you wanna succeed in this game.

2. Write every single day.

Here's another big "secret."

Copywriters get paid to write. If you're not getting paid, and you're not writing... you're not a copywriter. Them's just the brakes.

So I make it a point to write every single day. Sometimes, it's not much. But I still do it.

There are times when my wife and I are driving to a winery or to a cool new restaurant we wanna try, and I ask her to text me as I'm driving. And I'll dictate a headline, or a hook, or a copy block I want to stick in an email or a sales letter. Because that's the thing, you never know when ideas are gonna creep out of your subconscious and hit you right between the eyes.

It's the act of putting your pen to paper and putting words on the page. Before I had enough client work to keep me busy every day, I'd hand copy ads from the greatest writers to ever live. It's a well documented, well-researched practice with a lot of evidence behind it. I STILL do this from time to time... especially when I'm trying to get into my client's voice. You can always tell the difference between people who've spent at least some time doing this... and the writers who've skipped it.

3. Talk about copy with someone else/teach it or repeat what you're learning back to someone else

Ok THIS is one of the big juicy secrets I haven't really talked about a lot before. Part of the reason I got good fast was because I realized something about myself.

When I can "talk out" my ideas with someone else... it helps me get clarity. Like the act of talking thru what I'm thinking helps me formulate what I'm trying to say. I am not the best at hiding in my writing hole and just pumping out page after page. I LOVE the process of talking about what I'm going to write about before I do it. It saves me time, actually.

Because I can spew out all the bad ideas, and usually in between... a few good ideas emerge.

I even do this when I teach copy to others. Before I ever create a course or film a podcast, I've rehearsed those ideas before, verbally. Most of the times, these rehersals come on client calls... when I'm explaining strategy or whatever.

And this is soooo important. Because business is collaborative. And you need to surround yourself with people who you can "talk shop" with... and who can offer a different perspective or challenge you on your ideas. So I try to make that a part of my daily routine as well.

4. Get a mentor

Straight up, homie... you gotta find someone who has "been there before" to show you the way. I really don't care what field you go into in life, EVERYONE who has achieved success has had mentors before. Even Gary Vee credits his parents with teaching him how to work hard and hustle... and he's someone notoriously famous for not reading books or listening to other prominent figure's business advice.

You need someone who can help you fill in the holes in your knowledge. Someone who can give you feedback, help correct your mistakes, and reinforce good patterns.

You CAN do things on your own, for a while. I did for two full years. And it took me a long ass time to get good and to get paying clients.

Once I started hiring coaches and mentors things started happening MUCH faster. And now I'm spending almost as much as I used to make each year after taxes on mentorship, coaching and guidance - in all areas of my business and personal life.

And... it's paid off.

Obviously, not everyone is going to be able to do this.

That's fine.

I'm not saying you have to spend like I'm spending.

One thing I always did when I was starting out was buy courses that offered some kind of mentorship or coaching or guidance or feedback... or even just accountability.

There was one course I started out with, which NOW allows you to do all four of these things.

Check it out here

It provides you with the highest performing ads in history to study and learn from.
It gives you the frameworks and structures you need to get writing each and every day.
It gives you a forum to talk about copy and learn from others.
And you get accountability and feedback and guidance.

The good news is... it's open RIGHT NOW.

But the bad news is it's closing on Friday at midnight. And it's not opening again until 2019, which is kind of a long ways away.

Another good thing:

In 90 days, if you follow this plan step-by-step... you won't even be able to recognize your writing. You're going to be writing copy that SELLS.

So if you're a freelancer who knows you need to upgrade your copy skills so you can get better results for your clients... then this is definitely for you. And if you're a business owner or you're just someone who wants to be able to write words that sell product... then you will absolutely love this.

Remember tho... gotta hurry.

It's only open for the next 48 hours.

Here's where to join

EMAIL FORMULA #9: THE MYTHBUSTER/BELIEF SHIFTER

This is a very powerful way to influence and persuade.

Giving people an epiphany with your copy can be a very powerful process.

If you can show people that what they believed in all along is wrong… and WHY it is wrong… then you can go ahead to show them what works.

The format this email should follow:

1 A lot of people think ________
2. But that’s actually NOT true at all (it is NOT the case).
3. Here’s why:
4. Tells a story that reveals an UNDENIABLE TRUTH).
5. Now, if you want GOOD stuff without BAD stuff, then go here and get it (CTA).

Subject line: “Don’t eat that - your heart will explode!”

This cracks me up.

Every now and again you turn on your TV and see some news reporter blabbering on and on about the ‘hidden dangers’ of red meat.

“Red meat is worse than smoking cigarettes!”

“Red meat will give you cancer and make your children hate you!”

“Eating 3 oz a day of red meat will make your heart explode... and vegans will line up to spit on your grave!!”

It’s madness!

You and I both know that red meat isn’t at all bad for you.

(There’s a lot of propaganda and a lot of special interest lobbying and advertising that’s designed to get people hooked onto crappy, carby food (so certain companies can profit)… instead of letting us eat the healthy foods we’ve been eating for hundreds of thousands of years.)

In fact, red meat actually one of the healthiest things you can eat.

But you can only enjoy all the amazing health benefits if you get it grass fed.

The same thing can be said about chicken and pork. If you eat chicken or pork that wasn’t raised properly, then you can expect to have a subpar flavor and a much lower nutritional value.

Now, listen.

If you eat regular meat, chicken or pork your heart won’t explode…

But don’t you want meat that you know is better quality, cooks better, tastes better and has a better nutrient profile?

Don’t you think you’d have more energy if you fueled your body with the right kind of fats and proteins?

Don’t you think your health would be better if you ate the highest quality meat?

Don’t you think you’d enjoy each and every day a little bit more knowing that everything you eat is contributing to your health and performance instead of ruining it?

You’re smart.

You care about your health and performance.

And you want to look and feel good.

You owe it to yourself to at least test-drive [COMPANY NAME] one time.

Plus you’ll get ____ ($10 off/ 2 free pounds of steak mince/chicken breast) just for trying us out.

Go here now to use this coupon and get ____ ($10 off/ 2 free pounds of steak mince/chicken breast)

Pls anyone help me with what P.S, P.P.S that comes at the end each mail actually mean.

Pls anyone abeg
P.S simply means POST SCRIPT. you can gain clarity on most of these things via a simple Google search.

Copywriters use the P.S. to SOMETIMES reinforce important points, reinforce scarcity/urgency, introduce a "reason why" or link to the same landing page with the same CTA.

Here's my own attempt. Criticisms are welcome kiss

Subject [EVERYONE'S GOING TO COME TO MY HOUSE FOR DINNER ]

"EVERYONE'S GOING TO COME TO MY HOUSE FOR DINNER"

This statement was made by George Clooney to 14 of his closest friends.

The 14 friends belonged to diverse economic backgrounds. One of them was married to Cindy Crawford while another was riding his bicycle on his way to work at a bar in Texas airport.

When ‘The Boys’ (that was the name for the group) arrived at Clooney’s house, they found 14 designer suitcases placed on the table.

And then- Clooney said:

Listen, I want you guys to know how much you’ve meant to me and how much you mean in my life. I came to L.A; I slept on your couch. I’m so fortunate in my life to have all of you, and I couldn’t be where I am today without all of you. So, it was really important to me that while we’re still all here together, that I give back. So I want you all to open your suitcases.

There was $1 million inside every suitcase, arranged in $20 notes.

Clooney continued:

I know we’ve all been through some hard times, some of you are still going through it. You don’t have to worry about your kids; you don’t have to worry about, you know, school, you don’t have to worry about paying your mortgage.

(Clooney also paid their taxes so they could pocket the entire $1 million. That’s an additional $3.5 million altogether.)

Now you may ask: why am I sharing this story? well, it's to let you know that just like Clooney, I care about you and I want you to take absolute control of your financial future.

While I may not give you a million dollar, I'm going to show you how to start a very profitable business where you can atleast take care of your basic needs and even have enough to give to your family, friends and anyone else. Sounds too good to be true? Check it out here [link]

You are going to learn how to start and earn from email copywriting. I have outlined everything and made it easier just for you.

Karen Lamb once said "A year from now you may wish you had started today."

Start today, start right away! [Link]

Warm regards

Goalnaldo

Not bad (read: I am too lazy to truly critique right now).

I'd just say, since the subject line is a direct statement from G. Clooney, you should place it between a quotation mark i.e ""

That thing has its own kind of power in copywriting (I just heard about that from one of the world's top copywriters a couple of months ago).

bro fix up your intro, I see no need why you say "if you are looking for" They are surely looking for... Give them your punchline in the first three sentence.... Also, remove that "cooperate"... doesn't add up
No... that's a good one. I don't think he should change that.

"If you are looking to write better emails, then this thread will be one of the most important things you will ever read"

If/then... is a powerful way to open a sales copy.

You could also shape it into a question. E.g Are you looking to write better emails?

Then this thread will be one of the bla bla bla...

You get the idea.

No gimmicks, Ever heard of the great contemporary email copywriter, Ben settle?

You write better than him.. Your story telling, delivery, and PUNCH lines are so Epic...

You literarily PUNCHED the sleep out of my eyes when reading this in the early hours of today..

I'll tell you what, Ben settle might need to handcopy mails of yours to learn perfection and dynamism in it's truest content.

Haba!! you dey write sister...

People who write well like you, quarrel less (that's some stats I made up)

Meanwhile, nairaland asides, How can I get those sweatshirts... I really need them
Nice analysis. Her story had me hooked, despite the fact that I am hurriedly trying to zip through from where I left off on this thread.

From your comments, you are getting better every day as well, bro. More grease to your elbow.
