'Pel' as used in your statement means 'want'. So it is better you use the Seriot word for 'want' because there's nothing like 'if you like' in the Seriot. Rather, it's an English thing. And also 'pel' is different from 'pesh'. 'Pel' is used for comparing things while 'pesh' means to like or love.

i.e The boy looks like (pel) his father.

Therefore say 'zi rig terim' instead of 'zi rig pel'.
