Pls lets 4get this impeachment thing and think of how to move forward as a country and end the present security challenges in the nation. Think of how to bring up legislative framewok that will help us tackle the issue of Boko Haram. we presently have half-baked anti-terrorism law and they are busy looking for whom to impeach.Abeg

Where did you just dropped from? Stop commenting on this forum if you cannot make your remark with civility.

..BTW, you don't have an iota of knowledge about what you are ranting about....so just jump back to where ever you dropped from. I don't know that Sam Jaja is now a Yoruba man.

You will hear more of me if you m0r0ns continue to assert that anyone that appreciates what GEJ is doing received 40 laptops. Who the phuck is Sam Jaja ?!. So you are one of those that believe in 100% budget implementation. This is even more ridiculous in a nation like Nigeria that depends on just one major source of income, OIL. When was the last time you paid any form of tax in Nigeria ?. Even if it's just for the power reforms, GEJ should and must stay to see it through. I'm passionate about the issue of constant electricity in Nigeria. That is what Nigeria needs most now and Jonathan is on the right track on that. I will attack and swallow any buffon that attempts to thwart the march towards energy stability.
Who is that saint that will take over from Jonathan in Nigeria?. How on earth would someone demand a 100% budget implementation from a president. And some you blockheads here are in support.

dedeike: Any impeachment threat or move will fly away in the face of these remarkable achievements in one year.

In Finance,

finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants  to reduce waste. The checks revealed the pension scam of over 120 billion. There is the new integrated online payment system which helps the minister monitor transfer of public funds. Our foreign reserves have risen again to 37 billion dollars. There's the proposed Soveriegn Wealth Fund to cater for excess oil sale proceeds.

In Energy, a lot of reforms. The president is keen on transparency and thus has set up probes into the sector viz KPMG AUDIT and AIG IMOUKHEDE. The president sought to close the window of corruption by removing subsidy but the cabal misled Labour into a protest. That notwithstanding, the reforms are still ongoing and the full deregulation of the downstream sector being vigorously pursued. Last week, the FG had concluded the PIB which remains a landmark legislation that will revolutionarize the petroleum  industry. Refineries are undergoing repairs and an American company, VULCAN is to build six more new refineries.

In roads, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works,  dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation  of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha,    9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass  to mention but a few.

In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across t4 cardinal point of the federation

In  Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land, Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports

In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70.

In agriculture, for the first time in our history, we have a clearly defined agricultural policy which is targeted towards maximum utilisation of cassava for growth thru the launch of the cassava bread campaign. The policy is intended to reduce our reliance on imported wheat so as to encourage local production of cassava and it's conversion to flour for bakery. The FG has in less than one year eliminated the middlemen cartel that fed fat on fertiliser distribution at the expense of local farmers. Now through deregulation reforms, fertiliser is now accessible in the open market. he has also embarked on massive construction of silos and has increased import duties on the importation of rice in order to encourage local farmers. The efforts of the minister has been so appreciable that the world bank assisted with over 50 billion Naira for fertiliser redistribution scheme/ silos. The CBN has also set up a 500 billion loan scheme which is to assist farmers.

In power, the NIPP has been revived with the subsequent refurbishment of Afam, Alaoji, Calabar, GEREGU, Omotosho, papalanto power plants. This has led to the addition last December of 4,000 megawatts from barely 1700 to the national grid. To address the problem of distribution,  the 18 successor companies have been slated for privatization.  The media is already awash with news of the proposed privatization next week. The reforms include the review of tariffs in order to ensure a cost reflective tariff that will encourage private sector participation in the building of gas plants. Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state.

how about this

Did you even try to verify the above claims before displaying your infantile radicalism?
He said our foreign reserve is 38billion usd, is that not only on iweala's notepad?
How can you have external debt of 44bn usd and come home to deceive dull acidosis that you have reserve?

How much bonds services that 44bn plus interest annually? Nearly 25% of 44bn.
Now 44bn minus 38bn is 6bn deficit in my books though a dull iweala will think her note pad is making progress
While the economy remains a doldrum

On electricity, i believe every Nigerian will stone you to death for fabricating those fallacies.

On health; are doctors still on strike?

Roads, did i see enugu- osha and osha- owerri roads? Lol owerri -osha contract is 6yrs old i can paste the receipts of chippings supplied to CCC and later to JB in 2006 on that project, when jona was still giving yaradua a b.l.o.w job.

Under his watch, the giant of oil and gas reserves is under going its worst energy crisis in the world.

tanker drivers alone can cripple his supply network as they wish not to talk of ordinary Niger republic coming to our rescue via imports.

In case you have not heard, Nigeria is very close to Afghanistan on security progress under jonathan's watch.

Education, its no longer news that only 26% of school leavers gain admission into the universities and only 5% are employed.

On food and agriculture jonathan's league of tabularasers are still deliberating on grazing fields for cattle while his mates have mechanized Their ranch.

Economy/cost of living.
Jonathan's economic blind men has blessed us with all time high of 37.5% inflation though his mickey mouse cbn governor is still claiming 28%, wonder what he will be claiming now that all bankers are at home.

Jonathan is the only Nigerian president that has not initiated a successful programme even Abacha did better with ptf while IBB with FSP and MAMSA, jonathan is still w.a.n.king with ''YOU WIN''

he has never implemented a single law, from FOI law to local content policy, all have gone with his last 0.r.g.a.s.m.

on that same vein, Nigeria has the second record high job cuts within the last 2yrs, if in doubt ask the bankers and manufacturing industries.

The naira

before his acsention into power, the naira was in a sorry state of 150 to 1 dollar today, jona and his cbn mickey has handed us an unstable 163 to 1 dollar

aviation

the recent dana crash is a testimony that jona's aviation is comatose, not even the attorney general could challenge the allegations of the dana staff in court, in a national disaster of that magnitude.
the girl could have served as a prime witness in a class action against dana if jona was sane.

subsidy

under jona's watch, a 250bilion subsidy programme rose to 2trillion yet no arrest, no conviction, no sack, the best miserable Nigerians could get was an AWOL attorney general after 7days of protests.

jonathan is the only president in the world whose parliament gulps 75% of the national budget yet they still soak themselves in 625bn usd bribery scandal.

Jona has bestowed on us the most corrupt institution that even IBB the king of corruption is disappointed, not even a single high profile conviction, not even a single high profile dismissal because as we speak, even the devil himself cannot afford a madueke and sanusi in his cabinet.

Jonathan has not even initiated let alone fulfilling a single campaign promise except the one that he needs to surround himself with brain dead women in his cabinet.

Devil just sent jonathan a congratulatory message for implementing local content policy by importing 200 luxury brands at the cost of over 13.5 million each for a 4 day event. For exporting 2.48m bbls of crude daily while importing 38million liters of pms cos his refineries are moribond.
Even angel Gabriel has barred jonathan's prayers from heaven, this is a leader that just borrowed to augment his 900bn military spending.

Still on military, Nigeria has the most under educated junior military officers, before you ask how, Jonathan is too daft to ask him self why imo with highest national examination enrollments still have the least NDA and police academy enrollments when borno and zamfara as educationally less privileged have higher quotas than Delta and anambra put together in military enrollments.

jonathan is the only head of state in the world whose wife is a ministry of its own.

Abeg im tired of jona please tell me about patience, heard she is still reciting yaradua's seven point agenda for her sweetheart.

Total waste of human materials

karl max: just like buhari, ibb, and abacha were president of the north! During their tenure any top federal ministry Ʊ enter in nigeria then is occuppied by a northerner helping them instutionalize corruption which is what we are still suffering till today! They developed their zone with the so called PTF scheme.building roads in their desert infested zone at the expense of a more developed and productive zones as SW,SE,SS .how many mega watt of electric power did buhari, ibb, abacha add to the national grid during their tenure respectively? How many kilometers of road were built in the southern part of nigeria as against the north? We keep shouting corruption! Who institutionalized corruption in nigeria? Using your word the north has always and would always be the hand bagguage of the country! Ʊ think is only the niger deltan that are behind GEJ don't worry Ʊ would find out whenthe push turns to shove.am so happy that the north and their allies are showing their true colour ! Let wait till he is impeached then nigerians would find out that boko haram is not really distabilizing the country they're just causing chaos we would then withness what it means to economical ground a nation that their would be no money to steal again by the north and their slaves! When any other tribe are in power apart from the north and their slaves they cause trouble! Is what is happening now not what happened during ironsi?then the north and their slaves were saying the igbos are the problem of nigeria but now that a niger deltan is in power is now them that are the problem of the country I actually pray they impeach him so that this poo called nigeria would seize to exist

blowing his mouth organ as usual, please change to a flute, ur melody is lacking coherence. so we should continue to endure Jonathan's ineptitude because he is from the south? alright, get us a duke or an Utomi but definitely not jonathan, that guy is a statue in the villa

Elueme: The issue has been clear from the start.. When Jaja made those comments last week I suspected conspiracy.. The ND group is not crying foul but stating the truth..GEJ is not joining the bonwagon of some within the rank of the party to perpetrate the act of corruption why they want to capitalize on the grievances of the house to seek relevance before the president... This is an evidence to the onlookers that this president is clean in his quest for national development and the war against corruption.. Am not even bothered about the errant nonsense of impeachment cos it cannot and I repeat it again it can never happen or Nigeria burns.. They only want some appetizers from the president.. Keep enjoying fresh air

shut up!!! even if you are stup!d from birth, you should learn to keep it to yourself, clean indeed

Who is the SS? My guy, think straight.

Go ask the SS guys who leave in that area. What has GEJ done fr them .

People shud stop saying the Niger delta supports Jona, actually its the militants who support Jonathan. And still he fails them, mst of them have been deprted or nt paid there allowee - in short since Jona become presido, the militants agreement with govt began to fall apart.

Go to his home state, what benefits do you see. The has refused to become responsible.

Some people say when the north ruled , they never shared the national cake.

Now, its a core southerner ruling - how many of ur southern uncles or aunty"s have turned into multi millionaire"s . Instead , the relative peace in this country is threatened, muslim killing christain and vice versa.

And, a man who claims to be the son of a fisherman... Wakes up in the morning and hikes the price of fuel by 80% or so - it took a full blown social war to get him to reduce this amount.

He then increase power tarrifs, makes his wife the p.sec of his state and give her 8billion naira to build a secretarait plus 200 bmw and benz"s.

And you call him a good guy. He has no shame. It should never be frgotten that GEJ is president who legalized corruption.

List his achievement, how has he used to carryout all these semi completed projects - a president with no agenda.

You think he"s going to come out of this without scratches. Secrets have been exposed, promises broken.

Secrets the Nigerian masses should have never known have been exposed GEJ regime - that is why we r suffering.

The credibilty of the ND is waning, if.things continue- that region become a political destitute.

All GEJ needed to was to sit down and make friends with as many generals as possible.

You cant rule Nigeria without the Military"s LOYALTY.

Take Yar"adua for xmple - a clinically dead man whose wife still called the shots for six months. And, you will claim.. It is because - he is hausa. (rubbish).

Our former presido had the sympathy of the military - he"s blood brother being one of them.

I want to assure our south south brothers that blood is thicker than water. No matter what we will NEVER abandon you. We are ready to enter the creeks with you and fight along side with your noble men and women. It is for our survival and for our generations yet unborn. I'm happy you've realised who the real enemies are. They are cowards and back stabbers. They are no friends of the south south and south east. They will rather lick the as.s of their masters than to be free

Common keep quiet. If you don't know any better you shut up. I pass through Onitsha -owerri that road is still under construction and about 90% completed. The Onithsha-Enugu is being rehabilitated but work is slow.
You said enrolment in Nigerian universities is just about 25% and this govt took that into cognisance by establishing and pursuing the take off of 9 universities in one year and you are not happy.
You said there is no power. Please speak for your self. In my area in umuahia light has improved significantly in the last 3 months. Besides GEJ cannot fix the decay in power sector in one year.
You mentioned doctors being on strike. Does Nigeria sound like Lagos state in your daft ears?
You said there's no arrest or prosecution of oil thieves? It's clear you are in Malaysia, you are not in Nigeria at the moment.
For your information, parliamentarians in Nigeria take home as much as 45 m quarterly but GEJ came and cut it to 15m so you must situate the cries and threats from the house in this context.
Try and embrace the massive renovation of airports, privatisation of PHCN, Energy reforms thru PIB. Also try to follow up on the ongoing cases in court by EFCC against the oil cabal indicted by AIG committee. It will help you a lot

This impeachment drama makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The reasons being given are untenable. I have no love for GEJ but if he must be impeached, it should be on something tenable, not this wishy washy nonsense. As usual P.D.P are doing what they know how to do best: fight and squabble over money. Our constitution needs to change as soon as possible to allow for independent candidacy for a start. These monsters (P.D.P, A.C.N etc)need to be dismantled ASAP.
Re: PDP Conspiring With Reps To Impeach GEJ - S’South Leaders by HammedSodiqq: 12:45pm On Jul 30, 2012
Non performance cannot be measured just a year into ones administration. GEJ has spent just a year in office and is being criticized massively. These critics stirred up violence just to frustrate Govt and people are not concern. Objectively, GEJ has tried, and given a more fertile environment, he will do more. Reps should bother themselves about reclaiming their lost image.
Re: PDP Conspiring With Reps To Impeach GEJ - S’South Leaders by Naijagunner83: 12:50pm On Jul 30, 2012
The truth is that GEJ's performance outshines that of his predecessors in one year. What can we associate as achievements for Obj in the first year, it was even in hs second term, that we started seeing results. The challenge of governance at the centre is enormous. It's not a tea party. Anybody who felt GEJ will fix the problems in one year is a dreamer. but what matters is that the govt is taking serious steps at addressing our challenges.
Barth Nnaji's power sector reforms looks promising. I agree with the privatisation of PHCN. I commend the move to revive NIPP power plants. There are challenges though.
The PIB also provides exciting prospects in the energy sector . I salute the agric policy for deregulation of fertiliser and the change to cassava bread as against importation of wheat..
Maybe by the time CCCEC completes the rail lines, there will be visible relief on our roads

i was going through the Gen set catalogue of CAT a heavy duty company and i realized they have a gas Gen that can power umuahia alone. if umuahia can be powered by a gas Gen, how is power improvement in a microscopic umuahia a national achievement for Jonathan?

i spend most time in ph where i believe is more populated than your microscopic umuahia, there is no place i repeat no place i have been to that enjoys 24hrs electricity except from private companies.

Besides GEJ cannot fix the decay in power sector in one year.

if he cannot, why is he wasting resources on it? other countries add extra 1,000 mw of electricity in months at a cost 3 times lower than Jonathan's, why is he spending so much when he knows we wont see results?
is it wrong for him to leave it for someone who can?

You mentioned doctors being on strike. Does Nigeria sound like Lagos state in your daft ears?

sorry my oga i know say e no dey hard they go strike, but be honest to yourself, do you know that most theaters in our teaching hospitals still have the same look where obasanjo left them? not even a pin has been added for the past two years.

You said there's no arrest or prosecution of oil thieves? It's clear you are in Malaysia, you are not in Nigeria at the moment.

i want to assume you are joking but please, i used the word "convicted".

Erastus akingbola was arrested, paraded charged to court but convicted?

ceceilia ibru same procedure, but convicted?

Bankole same procedure convicted?

what about etteh?

ok, lemme stop here. oga, is it not common sensical to assume that the end should justify the means not arrest and parading, "conviction" is the achievement please wait till jona gets there, till then; he has done nothing.

For your information, parliamentarians in Nigeria take home as much as 45 m quarterly but GEJ came and cut it to 15m so you must situate the cries and threats from the house in this context.

they still take that much unless you calculator reads only 6 digits then i will understand where the error came from, refer to last week's post on legislators allowances.

Try and embrace the massive renovation of airports, privatisation of PHCN, Energy reforms thru PIB. Also try to follow up on the ongoing cases in court by EFCC against the oil cabal indicted by AIG committee. It will help you a lot

from what you said above its either you have a black and white television that confuses jonathan with obama.
on your aviation;
here is what i said;

"the recent dana crash is a testimony that jona's aviation is comatose, not even the attorney general could challenge the allegations of the dana staff in court, in a national disaster of that magnitude.
the girl could have served as a prime witness in a class action against dana if jona was sane".

[b]before you start telling me that the aviation reform will take another million years to complete, why not start with the above.

privatization of PHCN? hello!! Govt selling tax payers assets to their friends while i continue running generators and you say i should give thanksgiving next sunday? do i look like your albino father?

PIB? do you even know the contents of PIB? can you identify three possible clauses in the PIB that favors the average man on the street.

i read in the PIB that NNPC will be unbundled and some equity sold to Nigerians. the last time we heard that story with NITEL generated a bigger monster "TRANSCORP" guess who has the majority shares of transcorp?

please i have not seen any phrase in that PIB that will guarantee food on my table and hey!! don't tell me the one i read was fake.

About your EFCC charade, i am not interested.

i raised other issues of concern perhaps you can enlighten us more on what Mr president is doing about that.

security;
has any of your relatives been blown apart lately? cos if you have buried much people like the Adazi ani crew, you will have a second thought on jonathan.

The Naira?

Ministry of patience, who has unconstitutional budgetary allocations for wish wash projects?

cost of living/ cost of energy

jobs etc please enlighten us my lord!!

Naijagunner83: The truth is that GEJ's performance outshines that of his predecessors in one year.
Maybe by the time CCCEC completes the rail lines, there will be visible relief on our roads

what is stopping Jonathan from resigning honorably since the task is beyond him? guy!! to serve Nigeria is not by force oooo, Nigerians want results and results shall we get not stories, hope you know the diff.

Gbawe: How else did we expect Ijaw "elders" and "activists" to react given the unthinking clannishness and feudalism we have seen from many of them since GEJ became President? Tragic , as a sad indicator of where we are, that issues of National importance are now routinely hijacked by those quick to play the ethnic card instead of simply looking at the issues at hand dispassionately.
abeg go siddon. What issues are you talking about? Bloody hypocrite!

naja2: You this 40 laptop gang u never seize to amaze me-*so this empty list of "achievement" is all your man has got to defend himself against a valid impeachment process. After sqaundering trillion of naira, its this thin list of fake projects you can come up with. In any case all the reps are saying is that he should do his job of supervising and ensuring the budget is implemented or else he will be sacked. My sincere advice to Jona is to stop hosting stupid sisi first lady conferences and get down to real job of providing quality life for the citizen or be ready to face the music and no amount ot tribal politics can save him this time around. Lest i forget pls advice ur man that he is the president of Nigeria and not president of Ijaw.
And, who are you?

dedeike: Any impeachment threat or move will fly away in the face of these remarkable achievements in one year.

In Finance,

finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants to reduce waste.

Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state.

you do not have to lie just to defend your boss. all those listed projects are projects that are near completion and had been on-going before GEJ came into power. GEJ is a slow poke and all u've listed here are all promises as usual. thats what your boss is good at

Now you are learning very fast on how to keep it civil....next assignment: goggle who Sam Jaja is and what he recently said concerning the issue of Impeachment...maybe then..just maybe I can engage you meaningfully.

Engage your mind first before you can engage me in any way. Come back when you are capable of rational thought instead of knee-jerk reactions. Anybody who cannot see through the antics of those low-lifes in the house is not fit to engage me. 100% implementation my foot !!!.

And now again, @Gbawe chooses to believe Zakari Mohammed against NOI on economic indices... But to a sane mind, who is in better position to provide economic perfermance statistics? House of Reps spokesman or Minister of Finance?
I am not surprised, in an attempt to 'oppose' government, people have believed Boko Haram's testimony against that of the security chiefs. Why? Because it makes them feel better and more in conformity with their cause.

Truly, the only one to believe is GEJ and his soldiers-headed by Okon Iwe.
They have turned Benin-Ore road to Airplane Tarmac according to their record.
However, we who passes them knows the truth.

Another Dana will soon kill them up there so they can repair the roads up as well. They can't know the reality of what happens to nigerians who owns the land because they have insulated themselves completely from the reality.
Now given to a reprobate mind to do the wrong thinking them as being right.
Statistics that are fabricated to cover inefficiencies can't be trusted.
So, if the stats is correct, House has no choice than to accept it as the facts. But when it is an object of political fabrication, it becomes nonsence.
