i wonder what our so-called regulators are doing,leaving the helpless masses at the mercy of these capitalists: mtn & Dstv.
i subscribed to the mtn time based plan 3 weeks ago,my money was sharply deducted but i got no acknowledgement and couldnt browse.it took a total of 16 calls to their customer care & 3 weeks b4 they could resolve the issue.its terrible!

I use it anytime I'm in 9ja, their basic plan is 5,500 for 4gb at a blazing speed.

Simply buy a SIM for an alternative network of your choice: btw N200 to N250 depending on the network operator, buy bulk SMS units of about N1K or N1,500 and send a notification to your friends and loved-ones who you call/call you frequently and notify them about ur new number telling them that the old MTN line will henceforth be unaccessible. Or if u really love ur MTN line so much, use it to merely recieve calls & use another ntwrk 2 callout

exactly what I did. I bought one small Nokia touchlight phone put the MTN sim inside and drop it on top of my fridge I don't even move out again with it if I see miss calls I will call back with my Etisalat or airtel. Do u know that u can't make a 3minutes call with 100MTN?

whenever i am in nigeria it feels like shit in terms of internet fcilities ,the last i came i was paying 500 for 50 mb!that is crazy i am on 150mb for 5ghc which is 500 naira here in ghana,and the downloading is fast and on MTN for that matter.
here in ghana few ppl use bb becos we find no need for it u get the same speed and facilities on other smart phones.
internet acesss cost in nigeria is just too too high
which brings me back to my question why is mtn ghana cheaper ,more reliable and better than mtn nigeria?here in ghana the subscriber is about 10million even much more more lesser than that but in nigera mtn has about 30million regular user why cant they improve their network?

Either MTN want to reduce their Customers on 3G Data or those using Internet Via Modem or Mobile Phone which affect their Network especially Voice Calls and they pple to buy their Wimax Services

Ladies and Gentleman, pls i recently subscribed to Airtel ( moderm) the first month was ok as i was broswing on HSDPA, UTMS & 3G network. But the moment that 1 month subscrtion was over it's always on Edge network. I have called their customer care people time without number and they cant help the suitation. Pls does anyone ever have a similar experience besides what do i do now to have the usual HSDPA & UTMS back again & keep rocking. Thanks

Not bad but not that impressive, Download speed is below standard 3G speed (Including Ours)
The only appealing qualities of this plan is the unlimited data allowance. Swift Nigeria uses a plan almost as similar as this.
But i wonder why you don't use...

no need of universal modem when there are softwares to unlock glo,mtn,etisalat,airtel modems,so if u have any modem no need to buy a new one

fadeofresh: I was about to subscribe for the 3GB Night Plan only to find out that it has been discontinued www.mtnonline.com/products-services/internet-services/data-bundles . Before that I subscribed for their 20 hours 'Time Based' Plan but did not enjoy up to 3 hours of that before it started disconnecting frequently.The annoying thing here is even when you pay for it, you cant at least enjoy a steady connection.They wld one way or the other find a way to cheat or frustrate you...!

MTN data plans are all nonsense, but when it comes to their network on calling and receiving, they are still the best whether we like it or not, It might be expensive but atlease you get connected.
Not that i am promoting MTN oooo, but that is just the fact, you might try calling etisalat line with etisalat number and what u get often times is "connection error" but that doesn't happen to MTN.
For months now, when a caller gets me on MTN, they will say they have been trying my etisalat or glo line for long due to network problems.

ok search for dccrap_modem_unlocker on google click on the 2 search result from 4shared.com,download it and plug your modem with another network sim choose your modem name eg zte and type and click on generate unlock code click on it copy the code and input it on the modem and click ok,the software is about 2mb

click on setting look for network click choose manuel search wait for it to be complete,if u see airtel utms ,then there is still 3g service in your area,then change youe network from automatic to utms,or from edge to utms and your problem is solved

U need to create a new profile for the network u want to use and set it as default.
