It won't be recognized. The search has been formally called off. You should fast tomorrow, no excuses if you want to be true to yourself within Nigeria.

New moon cannot be sigted at midnight,it is normarly seen as a mini crescent on the western horizon at sunset i.e around 6.30 - 7.00 pm within which it dissappears.

The same reason SUN determines day and night. 6:15pm is night if sun has fully set by that time and and it evening if sun hasn't set by then.

We work with nature.

Please, spread the word. It's important to let other Muslims know. This applies to Nigeria alone, those in other countries should confirm from appropriate authorities the status in their location.

it is significant because weneva d moon shows up marks d beginning of a new month, which lasts in 29 or 30 days. islam goes with nature if u dnt knw, not like your gregorian fool dat can only calculate base on common man reasoning

the moon has been religious significant right from time immemorial in islam, so its not a new thing...and that tells you that islam is a religion which has direct link with the divine, divine in the way it is been practiced and its ideologies, it is neither man made laws nor made made principles...go make some research and you'll understand better!

Super1759: So what if the moon refuses to show up till next month.. Ara agba ndi ara
yeah! from the counting of days in the lunar month, the moon is suppose to show up on the 29th day wch signifies that the days of that particular month is 29 days, and if it doesnt show up on the night of 29th day, then the month extends to 30 days...so, since its not showing up today, we'll fast tomorrow wch makes our fast 30 days and we'll break the fast...i hope this is informative!
