yes, the scandanavians cannot sight the moon, just like ppl around the pole regions do have longer period of darkness and also sometimes up to 21 hours period of day light, so how do they calculate when its night or day, so they will have to get such info. from the regions most close to them...(Allahu A'lam) that's to the best of my understanding!(God knows best)

Why? because it is a religion of God the truth and the only one , a religion the have only one book that nothing been add or deleted by anyone, it is not old and it is not new, and Allah promised to protect his word so BILLION years coming it still remain the same but, give yours thousand years coming and see what would have to it. How many years now when Jesus ( peace and bless of Allah be wit him and his Mother) lived this world? And you get old and new and the new categorised in to many version. Guy Alhamdulillah. Just like what one european convert, now a scholar said (myself a convert), he said ''Allamdulillah that I met Islam before meeting muslims''.

What does that tells us, we need to educate and re-oriantate our people about the religion, most folks are lost about the conducts of a muslim, you can imagine a muslim telling a non muslim that want to have the knowledge of Islam, that it's haram (forbidding) for the person to hold a Quaran, what kind of message is such a person passing across, God will guide us all in the right direction, give us the heart to tolerate other peoples view and accept our act of ibadah, amin.
