Unity bank has network issue since on Sunday. you can neither send, withdraw nor do any other transaction online apart from checking of account balance. meanwhile, as of 7pm today I checked via ATM no salary has been credited.
perhaps, that's why Unity bank customers here are yet to be credited their salaries.
I have chatted them via Watsaap na only apologies them come dey give me.
That bank is a huge mess.

NLC orders sit-at-home from Monday
The Sun News Feb 5, 2023 6:26 PM
Organised Labour in Nasarawa rejects verification by Ministry of Finance
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Rivers State chapter, has ordered its members to observe sit-at-home from Monday, unless government addresses the lingering fuel and cash scarcity faced in the state.

State chairperson, Mrs. Beatrice Itubo, in an interview said the civil servants in the state would directed to stay at home because the scarcity of fuel is affecting workers income.

She spoke following the scarcity of fuel, cash and hike in transportation fare, stressing that their members were facing untold hardship and would not continue living in such a condition.

“It is not a threat. It is not a strike. It is a sit at home directive. I have issued a press release and it is starting from Monday.

“Workers cannot be spending the salaries on the huge transport fare and other issues. We can’t continue this. If government fails to address these problems, from where will they get money to be spending on transportation.”

Meanwhile, a Port Harcourt resident, Mike Chikere, who is self-employed, lamented that he begged a POS operator on Sunday, give him N5,000. But he was given an option to pay N1,500 for N5,000.

‘I had no option than to collect N3,500. It’s very painful to parents that have children. You can’t endure watching your family members starve.

“I went to several POS operators today (Sunday). Other places were telling me they would give me N1,000 but would collect N200, meaning N800 I will go home with.

“Another person (POS operator) said each N500 I will pay N100. I am confused I don’t what is happening. I don’t know other people are passing through what I am going through.”

That's why we're urging everyone to vote competence and not sentiments. Forget party affiliation and vote a competent and prudent president. Hunger, insecurity, scarcity of basic things of life affects everyone. Don't vote a thief, don't vote a drug Lord, don't vote an ogboni man/woman, this election is for our survival and our children

This is super story because salary increment doesn't require a letter writing.

Maybe some people just want to take excess transport money from teachers in the guise of assisting them to take their letters to the board at PH. Times are tough and folks are thinking outside the box. Lol.

Anyway let's just give it a shot

that is what we all said when it was brought to our knowledge especially the 2013 teachers, surprisingly some 2007 (about 10 teachers from my school. Ube) applied early December, and their January salary got increased with about 17k

actually there is something like this ...one teacher in my school applied for himself alone and got about 2-3k increment..he only came to tell us after he was done ,we couldnt do it then..this was about 3or 4 years back..when he took our letters there it was rejected...they said the time has passed that year...the teacher's salary always reflected the increment till he was transfered to another school....same level with me 8/3 ..but earning about 2-3 k more than all of us
