Please doctor I need ur help o, hav been experiencing scanty and dark menstruation for over 5 years now, it all started after I had a caesarian section almost 6 years ago. my cycle has always been regular even up till now, but the problem is scanty and dark, and lasts for just 2 days unlike the normal 5 days I use to hav it before i got preg and had the CS, and it doesn't flow out. Right now am so eager to get pregnant and feel I hav to correct the abnormalities, cos I feel there's a blockage somewhere. I just feel so. So pls what tests do I have to do.

@ONYEMOLA.....we have 1-4 degrees of HAEMORRHOID,the signs he/she may be having may be around degree 2-3......of which d 4 is evenly similar to d 3,dat of 1-2 does not require any operation but a crucial clinical management...but dat of 3-4 requires a crucial clinical management as well as operation....it is adviceable,dat i knw d degrees b4 i tell u what nxt to do.....Meet d GASTROENTEROLOGIST or PROCTOLOGIST to tell u d degree of HAEMORRHOID he has now...such a knowledge is very important now.

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 11:32am On Oct 22, 2013
@prettyblack ............whatever problem u find counting ur MID-CYCLE......Dis simple formular covers it all.............

MENSTRUAL CYCLE= OVULATION PHASE + LUTEAL PHASE......dis means ur OVULATION PERIOD can b easily derivable now.To get ur LUTEAL PHASE.....meet ur GYNAECOLOGIST to do some HORMONAL ASSAY,then u get ur LUTEAL PHASE....dis phase is important!.......After get ur LUTEAL PHASE,subtract this value from ur MENSTRUAL CYCLE(EUMENORRHOEA instinctively).....den u arrive at ur OVULATION CYCLE!

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 2:09pm On Oct 22, 2013
@ola_oluwumi...........Some
heavy bleedings are physiological(normal),diz form of bleeding do
render out with itself the endometrial tissue.They r sed to b normal if
this form of bleeding last below 7days.But it is confirmed abnormal if
it goes byond 7days and >80mil of menstrual fluid is lost.If u
observe such occurences,it is advised dat u visit a GYN which will
definitely examine u for any respective etiology glued to
HYPERMENORRHOEA or MENORRHAGIA....Some causes of MENORRHAGIA or HYPERMENORRHOEA are FIBROID,CERVICAL POLYPS,CERVICAL/UTERINE/OVARIAN CANCER,OVARIAN CYST,ENDOMETRIOMAS,ENDOMETRIOSIS,VON WILLEBRANDE'S DISEASE and odas with inclusive P.I.D......

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 2:25pm On Oct 22, 2013
@Ehibeca......She should visit a good GYN..mainly for the followin prob 1)P.I.D(HYDROSALPINX-CT/GN INFECTION) 2)P.O.F(PREMATURE OVARIAN FAILURE) 3)PCOS(POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN CYST) 4)GALACTORRHOEA(frm PROLACTINOMAS) 5)PELVIC GROWTH(CANCER/POLYPS/CYST/FIBROID) 6)HYPERTHYROIDISM/HYPOTHYROIDISM 7)FAMILIAL or HERITABLE problems.....and many odas!
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 2:30pm On Oct 22, 2013

[quote
author=ola_oluwumi]thanks for the response, does this mean that d
bleedin has nothn to do with the abortion? Thanx again[/quote] Only the CLINIC can confirm that.....but ur ABORTION stands as ur helping history to handle this.....d truth is dat...u will soon be fine.It is adviceable u maintain ur haematogenic condition by atleast takin some doses of FOLIC ACID and VITAMIN B12...to avoid any prob with ANAEMIA......

great job doc. Thank u.
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 6:35pm On Oct 22, 2013
@abisolaarshow......U
did not tell me if the LUMP still reccured afta the
removal(LUMPECTOMY).However,some women with LUMP regarded to FIBROCYSTIC
CHANGES with the breast do rarely av expulsion of breast discharges
from thier breast......But for any case as dis,clinical approach is very
primary.If u are experiencing periodic discharges frm the nipple...it
is also good u visit a GYN for probs with GALACTORRHOEA,a problem with PROLACTINOMAS of the ANTERIOR POSTERIOR OF THE PITUITARY GLAND.This does mean,a second MAMMOGRAPHY shud not b done to look wats going inside ur breast....Breast examination may also b done 2.As for ur loss in weight....dis not related to it....Loss in weight can be normal or abnormal or just normal life stress....i bet u...if u can be happy...watever prob u r.....u will gain weight.......!

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Amhappy(f): 11:40am On Oct 23, 2013
I appreciate the contributions of the Doctors in the house. Pls i have a question. When i was 16yrs old i had a lump in my bosom which was removed after 2 minor surgical session. The first was done in wrongly NAUTH Nnewi Anambra State. Before then i was not having any type of discharge but after the session i started experiencing some whitish discharge from my nipples. On subsequent check up following the first session the consultant said that the lump was not removed. My mum was enraged and took me to a private clinic in Ekwuluobia where the lump was finally successfully removed. But the discharge continued even after the 2nd session. I have visited about three doctors from then till now who assured me that the discharge is not a problem. I have not had any other issue with my breast since then. Am 28yrs now. Please are there any dangers. Meanwhile tests were carried out on the lump but i have forgotten the result. Will get back to you with that.
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 3:20pm On Oct 23, 2013
@fungramot.....I
may not knw what may actually led to ur pregnancy loss,however i want
to give conditions and riskfactors dat lead to MISCARRIAGE.They are as
follow: 1)CHROMOSAL PROBLEMS 2)MOLAR PREGNANCY 3)BLIGHTED OVUM 4)ECTOPIC
PREGNANCY 5)PLACENTA ABRUPTION 6)COUVELAIRE UTERUS 7)CERVICAL
INCOMPETENCE coolPLACENTA PRAEVIA 9)VASA PRAEVIA(rare) 10)IATROGENIC CAUSE(ur OBS bin the cause) 11)MATERNAL ANAEMIA 12)MATERNAL HBP 13)MEDICATIONS(usage of bad medication and terrible TERATOGENS in pregnancy)....However,for ur bleeding,it is adviceable u visit ur OBS to check for any problem with COAGULABILITY,he may also check for D.I.C....if b4 he has given u any medication to ease ur HAEMORRHAGE......I would also advice....if both of us can talk.....if so call me..........
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 3:33pm On Oct 23, 2013
@Amhappy......I
would still advice u to do a MAMMOGRAPHY of ur breast and send the
result to my mail box....or write it here.If frm result,it shows no
significant growth(NEOPLASTIC or CANCEROUS) with no LUMP
exclusively,then ur discharge should have resulted from a benign tumour
of the anterior portion of ur pituitary gland....This problem concisely
brings about increase nipple discharge due to HYPERPROLACTINAEMIA(high
prolactin hormone ) systemically...The problem here is dat in most women,increase nipple discharge do 1)causes menstrual irregulation 2)cause secondary infertility problem 3)rare but in some women increase in size of the clitoris.......However,if u ar seeking management on this,ur GYN may offer u some DOPAMINE AGONIST like BROMOCRIPTINE or CARBEGOLINE to suppress the discharge and with good management....it will either go off or reduced...
