Most Jamaicans tend to fry their plantains with no added sugar or salt. I love plantains!
You should go find yourself an Afro Caribbean restaurant. Jamaican food is a mix of West and Central African, Indian, Hakka Chinese, Taino, Spanish and British. I think you'll like it.

but i am super slow (snail pace) , it takes me forever to cook a meal
