where is okuku? That owerri okigwe and orlu highway needs fast constructions so that people whose villages are along that axis don't need to live in owerri abd business concerns also move along that axis..if possible too owerri umuahia needs to be reconstructed

To nonindigenes Owerri stops at Nwaorieubi while to Imolites Owerri stops at Akwakuma. Many Northerners, Akwaibomites, Middlebelt, Ebonyi, Rivers, Bayelsa and Yoruba people telling you they live in Owerri actually live outside Owerri. Owerri environs urbanized greatly during Okorocha's time all the way to Ulakwo, Ogbaku, Mgbirishi and Nwaorieubi axis. However I believe it is time to control the city expansion and encourage highrises. Owerri is developing in hydraheaded pattern like Portharcourt with mostly duplexes and short buildings unlike every other Southeast city that expands smaller on landmass by building multistorey housing

That's the painful part, multi storey is the way, but it's surprisingly not trendy in Owerri, Apart from Ikenegbu areas.

If you own a property around chukwuma Nwoha road. The road is 80% done
What's you all are seeing is the first layer of asphalt called binder course, the wearing course which is the second layer of asphalt is ongoing now

In bold; from the horse’s mouth: Okorocha government was responsible for rapid expansion of Owerri now growing in a hydra headed form.

How do we describe a governor Okorocha who deliberately arrested modern devt and urban expansion in his senatorial constituency, except in his rural village of Ogboko?

Orlu urban did not expand beyond where Udenwa stopped in 2007 till today, as Okorocha put nearly all the 8 years income of Imo state and its 27 LGAs into urban development of Owerri and building his private businesses in Ogboko and Owerri.

Today, the dream of every citizen of Orlu senatorial district is how to settle in Owerri.

Ogboko today is like a ghost town.

If Rochas did a good job, this government would proceed to other key projects. No, he was busy building substandard projects. Now, the Supreme Court governor is going back to a stage we should have passed.

PS: Seun, Nairaland is taking time to load. You probably need to expand your bandwidth.

IMO STATE PUBLIC ENLIGHTENMENT

FOR EASE OF DOING BUSINESS AND IMPROVED SAFETY IN OIL PRODUCING AREAS
~ WalterSmith Petrolman Limited Gears Up To Expand Investment In Imo State.

The achievement of the Governor Hope Uzodimma led administration in Imo State in easing and simplifying the State regulatory bottlenecks, coupled with improved security situation all over the oil producing areas has begin to bear fruits.

Today the improved environment has led to the agreement by WalterSmith Petrolman Limited to expand her crude oil exploration operations in Ohaji-Egbema local government of Imo State.

Reports from the Imo State Ministry of Environment shows that Waltersmith Petrolman Limited has proposed an environmental impact assessment for new drillings of exploratory oil wells ( 1b - 12 - & 1b - 14 ) appraisal wells ( 1b - 13 & 1b - 15 ) at Ibegwe, in Ohaji -Egbema LGA.

The public display exercise on the environmental impact assessment has been displayed at both the State Ministry of Environment and at the Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Council.

Also to be sited in Imo State in the new proposal includes the construction of 3.5 Kilometre pipeline for crude oil and evacuation to the existing Ibigwe flow station in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area.

In their reaction to the new investment inflows, community leaders in Ohaji-Egbema have expressed their delight with His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma for rising to the occasion in his engagement with development partners in the oil and gas sector.

The leaders assured the Governor of peace and harmony in their host communities, and promised to work closely with the management of Waltersmith Petrolman Limited in order to facilitate the engagement of local youths in the operations of the company.

I stand to be corrected, but i think this estate in Owerri has the highest concentration of exquisite and well-appointed mansions and duplexes in the entire south-east and south-south. It's just the state of the roads that let the estate down. Anyone with an opposing opinion can as well attach a clip of the estate they think beats this one.
