Achebe popularity in the international scene can be compared to that of Mandela. It is a debate and not war, yorubas and Igbos are too educated to engage themselves in physical war. Brother, you're missing the point... Awolowo never denied the blockade, albeit it was allowed under the UN charter during wartime by all member nations... However, he's not a war criminal because blockade is fair in a war, and it was justified to stop the pointless war...
