jkbimmy: When I combine jobs proper hustling the other pay equivalent of 3 mills....Therefore, you are not in Nigeria. You can only combine jobs in developed countries due to their efficient transportation system and secured environment. @OP, If It's a marketing/sales/business development e.t.c, if they don't supply a car for you to visit clients/potential customers e.t.c, then anything less than 150k is not worth it. It's just unfortunate that most jobs in Nigeria are field sales, even the big engineering firms would site their manufacturing plants in US Mexico Germany or Brazil and would only open sales outlets in Nigeria. |

jkbimmy: @billionaire, we all start from somewhere, and ur profession matters too. Earning peanuts from the start should not be a problem if u really need the cash...but as time flies by...u get to the next level provided u develop ur self. Basic earning, 980,000 from 150k start. When I combine jobs proper hustling the other pay equivalent of 3 mills.... In summary its not bad starting with peanuts, as u develop ur self, sky is the limit..Yea, I understand you. Just as I stated. I started with N12,000 a month salary and never rejected a job cos of low pay, because I already graduated with a mindset that am not gonna be a paid employee for long. Every graduate out there should reject no job except you have better choices. And make sure you work in a sector you can actually learn the tricks of running such companies. Grab the industrial secrets and move on. 1 Like |

I started with 12k/month in 2002 working 16hours per day (5am to 9pm) 6days a week, no weekends, no public holidays being observed in the establishment. I served my master diligently and learnt fast on the job.I built a strong network and good relationship with our major customers and fetched myself a good job within 2 years. It was not easy but i have no regret because i have achieved alot in my carreer because of the technical skills i developped in my starting point. Be serious and patient in whatever you are doing. 1 Like |

If u are looking for work u snatch at any job that comes ur way regardless of pay. Yes, dont mind d salary, just take the job. Acquire as much experience as u can and continue looking for a better-paid job.if u ar jobless d biggest mistake u will make is to reject a job because of the pay when u dont hav an alternative but to remain jobless. |

trix!:yes nah, 150 for rice and beans in the morning. 150 for yam with egg in d afternoon at Mama nkwa shop. 150 for Eba, dinner at Iya Bose shop. 50 naira for half bag of pure water. He will either go take the pure water at home or have them with him anytime. So, 500 naira is ok. Hahahahaha |

D only compesation I hav on d job is the experience am gaining. @least, man has to start from somewhere... It can only get better! |

It depends on where you are. 30k is a lot of money in gombe, but the same 30k is peanuts for someone who stays in ikeja and works in vi. And in places like Port Harcourt, it's a pocket change!!! |

I make N750,000 a month.. However, im not really happy with it.. Im working with my father in a company that makes a profit of over N15,000,000 a month(which father keeps).. so 750k a month is peanuts considering im one of the directors. However, all expenses are paid for me. I dont pay for food, cars, housing, phone, internet, travel, vacation abroad, etc. so maybe i should be happy.. i dont know though..Ive just been saving like 500,000 every month so its not so bad. I spend the other 250k eating out/clubbing. 2 Likes |
