Ogun State Government is set to commence the construction of ultra-modern markets for traders affected by the ongoing road expansion projects across the state.
The state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, disclosed this in Abeokuta during his tour of the sites of the modern highways.

The demolition of structures, according to the governor, is to pave way for construction of international standard roads, which would boost economic activities in Ogun and raise the standard of living of residents.

He said  the modern shopping complexes, which would have facilities comparable to those of the developed countries, would be constructed in major cities across the state, adding that traders would not be completely uprooted from the areas their customers were used to.

He noted that the on-going Sapon ultra-modern market, would be replicated in other parts the state.

Its a good development on the part of the Ogun state government but special attention is also needed in d construction of roads especially places that share border with Lagos state.
Roads in places like sango ota,mowe-ibafo are in pitiable states. We need to start reaping the dividends of democracy in all these places. God bless ogun state,God bless Nigeria.

Thank u. U have said my mind, but is not only the state capital that need development, some of the road in other part of the state need urgent repair, place like Sango otta, Owode Otta, Agbara, Ifo and so on.
Since they came into power, no single development in such area and they are making money their, espcially, place like Sango otta and Abara.

Hope they will look up to these.

In fact they should wait till after the completion of the building before making this noise. Only if it will not be politicised(i.e sharing it with ACN members alone & the amount for rent). I schooled in Ogun (Abeokuta) and also served there....

Amosun is truely working but he needs to do more to convince the populace....The people living in Ogun are happy with this man

When he came into power, he had to first clean up the mess done by the PDP government under Otunba Gbenga Daniel....

What is wrong with these governors and their misplaced priorities of focusing on the hardware (buildings) without due attention to the software (human development/education) Yet the populace with their low expectation of these Looters-in-Power (LiPs) continue to applaud these dimwit moves.

When will Amosun fix the many dilapidated schhols that are scattered over the state?
Build vocational schools to train technicians who will maintain the hardware that may otherwise rot in a few years?
Provide and pay for QUALITY teachers to produce successful students especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)?

It's been a while, I'll be there for Christmas hopefully.
I did, ran across them online, just want it rapid and constant, no break .
