UCAP is not a mediocre company like OANDO and JAPAUL,35 Kobo dividend for a stock selling for N1.70 is a rare occurrence!

I haven't looked at the UCAP financials... but I'd suspect that a chunk of their profits would be unrealized gains on portfolio holdings...

Some of these gains might have been eroded post year end... So me I will just sell CUM div and run away ...

Yeah ..if u buy a stock very low ,its possible to chop dividend and lil capital appreciation ..u just have to do your home work .But if u buy @moderate/high price you can either go what you want [if u re not on a longterm ]

Some people on long-term believe in re-investing their dividends yr to yr , while some just want to chop divi and cap appre , also some just want cap appre ..u just have to stick to what will work best for u
