0.40 kobo ? Smh from 1.25k last year ?
And they made profit oo.. why are all these companies being stingy this year

Not being stingy my sister.
They are giving out almost all their earnings as dividend.
What affect them is the impact of dilution.
The increase in OS was just too much for current earning. I dont expect anyone who is current with happening in the company to stiil be holding the stock after their recent merger.

Their EPS is 44k. They are supposed to pay from their earnings. Bad for the shareholders, probably because of their merger with Kalanbina.

They are almost paying out every profit they made. I guess there outstanding share ballooned.

sterln fair price based on result released today is N3 on my bedsheet not even half of FCMB.

if pple fail to cherry pick now they have themself to be blame in few month time

grin grin grin grin

Oga curretprice.,what you are saying is right but Sterling bank has improved in terms of results q on q.

Sterling may appreciate in price than fcmb.my reasons is the stock is not much in circulation to compare with fcmb. The number of free float shares available for trading is infinitesimal and will kick the price above fcmb the more. The good thing is Sterling bank has a good result

But come o..........Are they paying any dividend?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 11:43am On Mar 29, 2019
For now FCMB is still leading,in the improving % and dividend payment.

Go and read my previous post
I stated it CLEARLY that we ain't expecting any dividend for 2018. rather we will start 2019 on a clean slate and EXPECT an INTERIM DIVIDEND by MID 2019.

*ThE OcToPuS*
Nice one. I really appreciate your view on this but why keep loading since you know no Dividend for 2018. Did you also envisage the drop in earnings?

Is merger a curse in this generation, ashaka cement was doing fine before the merger, international breweries had been out of the wood before the merger, CCNN was doing great before the merger but now ńkọ́?

Even Chams that is selling at 20k is paying 3k dividend grin. Though their is no basis for comparison between sterling and Chams, Sterling is way ahead in every indices but stingy in dividend payment.

Modified: sterling did not declare any dividend, the 2k we are talking about is even previous year's dividend.
