Signs of Error 2508: When your computer freezes or locks up at random. When your computer crashes when you are running Microsoft Access. If A value you entered for the spreadsheettype argument is invalid pops up and causes a program to shutdown or your computer to crash. Your computer is running slow, taking a long time to boot up, and you suspect Error 2508 by Microsoft Access is the cause. What Causes Runtime Errors Like Error 2508? There are several causes of runtime errors like A value you entered for the spreadsheettype argument is invalid, such as viruses, out of date drivers, missing files or folders, incomplete or poor installation, and registry errors. They can also occur due to an issue with the computer’s memory, which may often be due to a hardware problem. In some cases there was an issue installing Microsoft Access and an error occurred. https://www.registry-clean-up.net/knowledge-base/errors/runtime-errors/error-2508-a-value-you-entered-for-the-spreadsheettype-argument-is-invalid 1 Like |

good morning everyone, I'm having an issues with my laptop ( Toshiba satellite a300) I've been using debian 11. I closed the laptop for it to sleep, when I came back to continue and I tapped the power button it didn't wake. the laptop was on but the screen was not showing anything or even light. I then used the power button to shutdown and reboot it, the screen is not showing any thing or even light. what could be the problem and solution thanks in advance |

uche393: Do you see the startup display (Toshiba logo) when you power on the laptop? Can you enter your BIOS just to see your screen come up? Try and boot from a live USB to check if your Debian install is the issue. |

Gargoylesmiles:thanks for your reply, it doesn't show anything on screen even light. although it started working the next day after the issue. 1 Like |

Notes on Ubuntu 22.04 Installation. If your laptop or desktop has both intel and Nvidia graphics (i.e hybrid graphics), do not install the Nvidia graphics during installation. Use only the open source nouveau graphics drivers. This would boot you into Wayland and give you all the benefits of stability and power efficiency. If you select Nvidia, it would boot you into X11 and you would be having display issues (black screen on boot or suspend, high temperatures, inability to use the integrated graphics for efficiency etc) Just use Wayland and enjoy peace of mind. If you need an app to use the discrete graphics, just right click on it and select "use discrete graphics" Nvidia has been lazy this time around and Wayland seems to be the future. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hello guys, I’m here because I’ve exhausted google search queries on how to solve this. I just installed Xubuntu on an old laptop. It boots fine but on getting to the login screen I can even see anything, I’ve tried all option including editing the grub commands before boot. I attached a picture of the screen. Any idea on how to solve this? For some reason, the image I uploaded is not showing. I attached a link to the image. Remove spaces https :// ibb. co/JCnYL8Y 1 Like |

Uzomacharles: 4Gb is recommended by most popular distros like Ubuntu, Linux Mint etc for comfortable usage but it doesn't mean you can t go lower and install a very lightweight distro |
Re: Ubuntu Linux by Uzomacharles: 11:33am On Aug 11, 2022 |
Gargoylesmiles: Light weight distros like? Which is better for a beginner? |
Re: Ubuntu Linux by Gargoylesmiles(m): 1:53am On Aug 15, 2022 |
Uzomacharles: Search online for lightweight distros and take your pick. I have never had any reason to try them but I know they exist for systems with low specs. 1 Like |

IamLincoln: Windows offers dirrect install of linux os as a subsystem. I have not tried it but seems with this you don't need vmware or dual booting. Check link below: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-manual |
