Cajetan speaks: Rochas is just a year and 7months old in office as a governor. This problem imsuth is facing now is as a result of accumulated years of neglect by previous administrations.
If he was the "angel" that you guys take him as why then has he decided to join the past administrators in the neglet of the institution?, and who told you the problem of imsuth can't be settled in less than a month. Myfriend if you can't manage & organise yourself in a year & 7months believe me it would be very difficult to do that in 4years.

little wonder these docs always find the profession frustrating after a few years of practice, when you have spent 12 years just to qualify from med school when your colleagues in other centres are about completing residency training.

debbilici0us: Students of Imo state university took to the streets today in Owerri asking the Governor to tell them their fate. The students, some of which have been in school for up to 12years are calling on the governor to address the strike in the hospital as the NMC accreditation team which is expected by April may withdraw the accreditation. After Gwagwalada,it's now IMSUTH.If the school loses her accreditation, what will happen to the students who have spent twelve years in the school?

Hey people, I want to correct an impression here. IMSUTH was accreditated by MDCN in 2008, and has graduated 4 sets of medical doctors(2009-2012),much of whom hav passed their primaries and are into residency programs. Its just that the accreditation team will be visiting again by May. With the status quo at the hospital, they won't pass the accreditation. So,that was one of the major reasons why they are demonstrating. Also, the resident doctors there went on strike around 2nd week of december, and the 4th MBBS exams were put on hold. Very frustrating U̶̲̥̅̊ know, for those who know wt mbbs exams are like

Just to please the gullible masses.
Way to go rochas, ride on with ur free education while imsu remains at a rented space.
well those of u shouting free education, I don't tnk ders anyth tin as such presently ongoing in imo state bt I do knw about sm education subsidy from rochas. Tank God for him. Instead of payn 53+ I now pay 20. In d same vein, I encourage him to extend dat gesture to d medical future of his state. Saying free education is a cut of gramatical ingenuity

Re: IMSU Medical Students Protest In Imo State by DetectiveBauer(m): 5:27pm On Jan 19, 2013
D strike by the resident doctors has been called off, and rochas has made a statement concerning the state of affairs at the teaching hospital. He intends to do something so accreditation will not be lost. Seems the demonstration worked. But why did he wait all this while?

@ngozi. Don't praise him please. Why must he be pushed to act on when there was a demonstration. He enjoys public praises. He is only acting because he dosent want people like you to think he is not good. By the way, its obvious you don't live in Owerri.
