That's termite, it's called edon in my language.
I used to like that stuff, not sure I can eat it again though.

I think I ate it then in order to conform. tongue My childhood friends used to be crazy about it, and it was actually fun joining them hunt, prepare and eat it. grin But it's most likely I won't eat it again, old age has made me too picky about 'food'. tongue

It's called 'Ibà' in yoruba language. It's yummy, expecially when you fry it with stew for rice.

Looks like what we call Esusu in my area. It flies during the rain, and pushed out during the rainy season.

In secondary school, my friend, whose house was close to the bush, used to bring roasted ones to class the next day anytime it rained the previous day.

Feeling like eating it again as I look at that first pic. I can still eat it.
