There is no reason why Igbos cannot rule but politically they need to raise their game and read what is happening in the country. I believe I have mentioned before that Igbos should have participated in the merger as founders not joiners. The reasoning is like this ; APC might not even win in 2015 but in all likelihood they will win ONE DAY.
Let us look at this as neutral Nigerians. We would like to have TWO viable parties in Nigeria whose membership remains intact when they lose elections,persevere and battle on until they eventually win with power shifting between the two from time to time. There is no reason why Igbo politicians cannot be strong in TWO parties.
