yMcy56:Pls. @Mcy56 can I get this traded orders on itrade platform? |
OBAGADAFFI:Thanks. |
OBAGADAFFI:Please any idea how much the New Investors negotiated or paid for the Acquisition? Kindly share if you know. |
** |
OBAGADAFFI:Yeah. I Will go the line of hold. Someone here gave a detailed analysis of the true value after combining Risks and Reward and he came up that it should not be selling less than N1:80, this was when @ukay2 asked his opinion on UPDC. I think those Custodian guys knows this but almost pulled that MTO stunt at @90. **Pls. Not a Recommendation. |
yMcy56:Yes Nairametrics ran that article back then when Ghana Merger happened. But our NAICOM was not too pressing on Recapitalization back then that time. Now there is deadline, they may Consider it since sourcing for Funds from Public may be tight with Nigeria's economic crunch. The second article from Investogist.com is more recent, last year I suppose. The Insurance Companies will look for all available ways to get Funds anyhow they can, and since they merged their Subsidiaries in Ghana during Ghana Recapitalization exercise, the parents Companies might replicate it here in Nigeria to become Mega Insurance Company. Access Bank is becoming Mega Bank (just saying). NOTE: Did you see that huge Volume traded in NEM Insurance today? It's unusual. Edited!! |
@yMcy56: I agree. His post is always detailed. Well-done dear, you are appreciated. NOTE: I edited my Post above to include the Links. |
sonofElElyon:You guys should look the direction of REGENCY ALLIANCE. Shout out to @Onegentleguy. He gave reasons suggesting that if the same indices of valuations is used, REGALINS & SOVRENINS should be trading within the same price range as ROYALEX (Equation X=Y where Y=2). He also hinted at the possibility of a Merger for them as the deadline for Recapitalization by NAICOM draws near in SEPTEMBER. I actually saw articles that reference REGENCY ALLIANCE "may" go the way of Merger with NEM INSURANCE. Mind you, this may, or may not happen. It May also depend on if they are able to raise enough funds to shore up to the required Capital from existing Shareholders, General public or from Private Partnership. These are the Links below: https://investogist.com/the-case-of-regency-alliance-insurance-plc-merger-or-recapitalization/ Nairametrics: https://nairametrics.com/2017/03/04/deal-regency-alliance-and-nem-insurance-merge-in-ghana/ Edited!! |
Talking about rumour! Zenith bank is usually not associated with acquisitions but with ongoing Access bank expansion mission, Jim Ovia may want to take one for his bank especially one that may have an Intrinsic value like Union Bank. https://nairametrics.com/2021/05/06/zenith-access-others-move-to-acquire-union-bank-other-african-assets-of-atlas-mara/ And also for the CEO of Union Bank to increase his stake in Union Bank just days before the News hit the headline proper MAY point to insider information that could suggest that the favored bank would give Union Bank Shareholders a BETTER deal and between the two banks that is rumoured to be interested, Zenith could do that. This is my humble opinion. https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/177_NSE_-_UBN_Appendix_A_-_Notification_of_Insider_Dealing_EO3.pdf And; https://www.naijabusiness.com.ng/news/2021/union-bank-ceo-emeka-okonkwo-purchases-additional-1-3-million-shares- |

@yMcy Many thanks. |
rebekah2011:Thanks. Please the Live Equity prices on nse like @ymcy56 asked, how can we Access now? |
salanda:I don't have it. And also I notice it's only @mcy that speaks about penny stocks while people point at monkey hunting or whatever. Sorry I should have. |
smitten99:For GTL Registrar's, call this number to ask for their email - 08158992944. |
nna777:I believe there is prospect here the question is when it will happen. I read somewhere they recently discovered large quantities of Lithium and Nickel in their Mines of Ja- oil ( I will share the link when I find it). Also their Financial book is cleaner after Access bank debts write-off. My personal opinion though. |
[.... **This is purely my opinion**[/quote]@Mcy Gracias. I appreciate u! I will wait out Mansard to get to that range. |
Which other Insurance shares was also a recommendation as earlier talked about? @mcy please help out. Am feeling Insurance Sector maybe where one should look at now that Banking is getting great heat with all the Reds even with good financial report. |
wisdom2345:I just took a look at their unaudited Q4 2020 FYE report, it is really pretty impressive, I think the price should be in the same region as Linkage Assurance if not more (my opinion though). And I remember one of the Ogas here spoke highly of it not long ago. https://www.proshareng.com/news/Corporate%20Results/MBENEFIT-Declares-N4.5bn-PAT-in-Q4-2020-Results---SP-N0.43k-/55833 Linkage Assurance: https://www.proshareng.com/news/Corporate%20Results/LINKASSURE-Declares-N1.9bn-PAT-in-Q4-2020-Result---SP-N0.81k-/55568 |
Sorry to digress a little bit it is really quiet here except for @Mcy Afriprud update (thanks dear). I just read and want to share cos it will be crazy if our Reps supports in any form the idea of selling our Crude in Naira to benefit as usual Nigeria Oligarchs. https://nairametrics.com/2021/03/02/nigerias-biggest-oligopolies-who-are-the-real-beneficiaries/ |
@Toluway, no be small! We are on a long thing in this Country. Being led by these kind of people!! |
It appears our Naira is officially devalued again (how many times now?) by Emefiele. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-27/nigerian-central-bank-governor-suggests-naira-has-been-devalued |
https://www.proshareng.com/news/NIGERIA%20ECONOMY/Interest-Rates--How-Much-Higher-/55797 Could there be a spiral effect to nse? |
Mcy56:Was this what you read? .... Heineken may launch N3.06b full takeover bid for Champion Breweries. 2 weeks ago. Heineken B.V, the majority core investor in Nigerian Breweries Plc and Champion Breweries Plc, may soon launch a full takeover bid for minority shares in Champion Breweries after the global breweries giant closed a N4.95b deal to increase its majority equity stake in Champion Breweries to 84.97 per cent. Transaction details and regulatory filings at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) showed that Heineken, through its wholly-owned Nigerian subsidiary, Raysun Nigeria Limited, acquired N4.95 billion shares from local investors to increase its controlling equity stake in the Akwa Ibom State-based Champion Breweries. A total of 1.90 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each of Champion Breweries were crossed to Raysun Nigeria Limited at N2.60 per share through the negotiated window of the NSE. The new transaction represents 24.27 per cent of the issued share capital of Champion Breweries. Prior to the latest acquisition, Heineken, through Raysun Nigeria Limited, held 60.7 per cent majority equity stake in Champion Breweries. Akwa Ibom State held 10 per cent equity stake while other Nigerian shareholders held 29.3 per cent equity stake...... Champion Breweries has 7.829 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each, with Heineken, through Raysun Nigeria, now holding some 6.652 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each, leaving about 1.177 billion shares in the hands of other shareholders. Market pundits said the new transaction has created deeper free float deficiency for Champion Breweries. Free float, otherwise known as public float, refers to the number of shares of a quoted company held by ordinary shareholders other than those directly or indirectly held by its parent, subsidiary or associate companies or any subsidiaries or associates of its parent company; its directors who are holding office as directors of the entity and their close family members and any individual or institutional shareholder holding a statutorily significant stake, which is five per cent and above in Nigeria. Under the rules at the NSE, Champion Breweries, which is quoted on the main board of the Exchange, is required to have a minimum free float of 20 per cent of its market capitalisation, implying that 20 per cent of the companies’ shareholdings must be available for minority retail shareholders. Sources said there were indications that Heineken might consider delisting or merger to cure the free float deficiency and unlock further synergies. Shareholders of Champion Breweries had earlier clamoured for the merging of the company with Nigerian Breweries in order to create synergies that could deliver greater values to all stakeholders..... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://thenationonlineng.net/heineken-may-launch-n3-06b-full-takeover-bid-for-champion-breweries/ |
megawealth01:NASS just want a piece of the pie. They ain't happy they weren't invited to the party. They will settle nothing do M&B. |
nna777:I believe the price will surpass #3 very soon just watch. Wealth is being transferred with this Chinese and Japaul collabor Gold business thing. And millionaires are being made as it is hot now. Chinese wants a slice of our natural resources and they see Japaul as a means to their plan. My personal opinion sha based on news about their kukere activities in Africa at large - "natural resources" |
Mcy56:I agree with you 100% my Dear. You are doing great here my sister. I think Japaul is a new rebirth. Starting afresh in a new and lucrative venture (because of the large untapped gold reserve Nigeria has). Also Jegede am sure would have learnt lesson on better management (hopefully) from the drag Access bank must had put him through. And in addition, Chinese people don't play when it comes to business and money! I believe this company will do well going forward. |
OBAGADAFFI:But Sir I think C.I Leasing didn't change their Nominal price from 0.50k when they did reconstruction. MTN was 0.2k (not sure) Nominal value when they listed at N90. Mansard on the order hand is increasing Nominal value from 0.50k to N2, the effect of this to the price after reconstruction is what I believe @rebekah2011 is saying. 0.50k x 4 = N2. Automatically the price should be times 4. Am still reading through this great blog sha learning through, thanks to all Ogas and Madams posts here. |
Good morning. Am a newbie here. Please what's wrong with MorganCapital I can't log in? |
