The first President served two terms of 4 years and quit without been forced suprising even the then King of England. When the USA was celebrating its 53rd independence-it already had several former Presidents who won elections and handed over without controversy-in that period-it had no coup plots or the Army taking power-innocent people especially the poor were not been jailed or robbed of their rights.Yet it had people from different cultures and faiths -while the majority were from England-there were people from Spain, the Netherlands, Beligium, France all from different faiths (many sworn mortal enemies back in Europe-the Catholics had just finished 200 years of killing the Protestants) But like any other society it had its problems and even had to go to war ( a civil war in 1861 and war with England in 1780 to solve some of its problems.

You dont need 2 years to have a functioning society. All you need is a people and culture who respect their neighbours and have some form of integrity.

I believe it is because we do not have the necessary tools to handle such situations, no cctv in the streets, our law enforcement officers are not well trained nor equipped for such tasks...

thelastPope: There is something really not adding up in this whole incident

1. No terrorist group has claimed responsibility yet.
2. There are silmutaneous threats going on all over at the same time.
3. Some of the early evidences sounds too simplistic. All terrorists know there are hundreds of cameras around. Especially during an event like this. There are even more cameras setup to monitor the event. So why will they carry out their activities in the glare of cameras? Doesnt sound right. The only persons that would do a thing like that without minding the cameras are suicide bombers, not persons who want to bomb and escape.
4. The terrorists are not fools. They know if they are caught on camera, the security agencies will come after them and paste their pictures everywhere. So why would they show their faces on camera?

It looks like a far deeper thing than what we sre seeing on the surface.

Coordinated efforts by terrorists groups are very hard these days-and most of the groups have been broken. Lone wolf terrorists are the danger these days.

spywareczar: Photos collated on the 4chan website show numerous images of suspicious individuals wearing large backpacks present at the scene of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Three of the men appear to be Arab or Middle Eastern in appearance, whereas another two of the individuals are white.

The images show the men looking away from the marathon runners, talking on cellphones and running from the scene immediately after the blast.

Remains of one of the backpacks are also photographed yards from where one of the bombs exploded. The FBI states that at least one of the pressure cooker devices used in the bombing was housed in a backpack.

Some of these men may have merely been victims, but the image of the two men standing together wearing the same clothes and carrying heavy backpacks and wearing credentials suggests they may have been involved in a drill or in the actual attack.

CNN is now reporting that authorities have identified one of the suspects involved in the attack by means of “video from a department store near the site of the second explosion” and “video from a Boston television station.”
