Maxymilliano:

Very irresponsible of a father to openly make this type of claims.

You trained your daughters up to master degree level in Ivy league schools, yet they couldn't compete with their 'less fortunate' peers in the labour market for the few available jobs but instead depend largely on nepotism and favoritism.

Little wonder a former senator regretted sending his kids abroad for studies.

Irresponsible fathers, irresponsible kids!

Please where was nepotism and favouritism quoted in his speech?

Sir, you don't need any organization or government body to give you statistics, make a sample of 100 graduates in your locality and you will surely find 40% of them are jobless, it's as simple as that...and h3ll yes close to 2bn is spent on security daily, because last time I checked close to 1tn is budgeted for security this fiscal year.
These billions will indeed triple, to check the security problems caused by people like you and Hell Roofai, IBB, Prof Ango AYATOLLA Abdulaii, etc. Or, are you people tired of blaming Pres Jonathan for solving the problems created by your myopic inefficiency.

Typical of Nigerians. Always quick to attack the messenger but leaving salient issues untouched. Such a blind and ignorant generation. The same reasons why most youths cannot find gainful employment. They are unemployable. Very few can hold an intelligent discussion for three minuites without sounding like a broken record. ** weeps** **walks away**

I kind of disagree with you on calling him irresponsible because he is trying to get job for his children. On the contrary, responsible parents will always assist their children in their job search by the way of speaking to friends and advising their kids. I still remember the troubles my parents had to go through in trying to search for a job for me (although they were not sucessful in the search but, anyways, i found my own job). A parents responsibility to their children doesnt stop at graduation.
And why would you call the children irresponsible when he did not mention that the kids are not looking for jobs on their own too.

Thanks 4 being objective! On point

Ola one:

This tells me that Mallam El-Rufai believes, deeply, in nepotism and favouritism. Your daughters have Masters degrees yet they can't get a job without your help? With Masters, they are still not equipped enough to go out there and fetch for themselves? And the incorrigible Mallam had the guts (albeit misplaced) to say something like this?

So, Mallam, how do you guys do it? Tell us how to go about it. You must have done it before for you to complain about it not being possible to get a job for them right now.

Rant of a very stu.pid, myopic, deluded, weird, confused, lonely, bigoted, narrow-minded little man!

call him all you want. the future of his kids are secure. he actually speaks for the rest 42% who have nothing to fall back on incase they don't find jobs. selah

More than half of the people here asking why his daughters can't find job for themselves, are unemployed. Why can't you guys find jobs for yourselves too? He's using the unemployment status of his daughters as a case in point to a wider problem, instead of tackling the issue you guys are attacking the man. Jobless twäts

Teacher. Were these problems created by President Jonathan, or by Hell Roofai and his fellow born-to-ruin?

I remember finance minister Ngozi Okonjo Iweala complaining of the same issue last year during the subsidy brouhaha. She said she had grown up adults sitting at home without jobs and she gives them monthly allowances, she said the subsidy money could be used to industrialise the nation and provide jobs for our youths. Even though, I was against the removal of subsidy, I could see the pain in her eyes when she said her children whom she had trained to graduate level were still still receiving monthly allowances from her. Ngozi is on the other side of the divide, she is not Jonathan's opponent like El Rufai, but the issue is the same. If this could be happening to children of highly placed individuals, how about the ordinary ones? This is the issue we should be tackling, must we politicize or make a joke out of every thing? Those people attacking El Rufai because he opposes PDP, what do you say about Ngozi's case?

collynzo2: Those people attacking El Rufai because he opposes PDP, what do you say about Ngozi's case?
Ngozi is solving the problems CREATED by Hell Roofai and his fellow born-to-ruin abokis. Example: To whom did El Roofai sell NITEL? You can't fool Nigerians all the time. Do you recall that Atiku bought two Refineries for $700 million. Those in Nigeria know that Atiku won't even pay, if Yar'Adua had allowed him. People are not attacking Hell Roofai for nothing. So shut up, mister. If I get angry I will just write at least 10 verifiable FACTS.

Thank you jare, dont mind we 'morons'!
We be proper morons ....except that our own type of 'morons' dont suffer from amnesia! shocked shocked

EL Rufai "discharged his responsibility PROPERLY" ....No wonder NITEL is STILL DEAD today!
All our NATIONAL Assets he privatised as head of BPE (Ajaokuta, Delts Steel, NICON Insurance, Nigeria Airways, NITEL,, e.t.c) ...

*El Rufai first undervalued the companies
*Then sold them as peanuts to his "friends" in TransCorp and outside (using BPE)
*Then those ones (who are supposed to revive and make it work better) simple "stripped the assets of the Companies" and sold them
*Now, the Companies are either dead or in a worse state than El Rufai met them!

We are truly morons .... and El Rufai really discharged his duties properly! wink wink

Clap for yourself, it is not only the "40 Laptops people" that deserve a standing ovation, you also deserve one!
You can still abuse us more, no be you?

Lastpage!

BTW: I have no grouse against El rufai .... but at times, there is something about "the messenger" that makes a nuisance of "the message"! wink wink
elrufai undervalued nitel?pray tell us how.as i remember it,the value or NITEL was never made public.we talk about the NITEL as if it was a profitable venture.nitel was already comatose.telephone tarrif was increased by over 100% to boost the profile of NITEL so as to attract good bids.bids were submitted in the range of 1.1-1.3billion dollars for nitel.a caveat was attached that a minimum of 10% must be deposited from the winning bid.unfortunately the bidders couldnt convince their bankers to finance the transaction as the bank valued nitel at its real value of less than 500million dollars.it was after then that nitel was placed under private management.

besides wasnt the alpha and omega of the privatisation process.every transaction had to be approved by the national economic conmmittee and federal executive council.

ngozi is solving problems?in which country?people arejust ignorant.nitel wasnt sold when elrufai was DG of BPE.it was sold almost 4years after he left BPE.atiku bought two refineries?in which country?two refineries were sold to blue star technologies which was jointly owned by emi otedola and aliko dangote.yar'adua ignorantly decided to revoke the sale.

please get angry and write the verifiable facts, ignoramus
