The group led by Babangida Aliyu have given a condition of Amaechi being recalled back from suspension for them to rescind their decisions.

Though it is much expected that those PDP governors sympathetic to the plight of Amaechi will arm twist the party executive into recalling Amaechi! There is nothing to suggest that most pro-GEJ/Jang faction of PDP have personal beef with Amaechi! it will be settled in the PDP family affair manner!

The Peoples Democratic Party has named an 11-man committee to investigate the allegations leveled against the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

The committee is headed by a Joe Gadzama, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The party had earlier suspended Mr. Amaechi after an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee.

The refusal of Amaechi to attend the meeting might not be unconnected with the reported plans by the Presidency to remove him as the chairman of the NGF.

The Presidency is believed to be using some governors to remove Amaechi, believing that he was not working with the move to return President Goodluck Jonathan to power in 2015.
