Read your initial post and your response well.
If you understand how a CVT works then you'll know it does not have gears like regular automatic transmission and would not have erratic shifting of gears or slippage while shifting to another gear. You'd also know how not to always lift informations off the internet and paste all the time.

I am just a customer representative on request mechanic and don't know so much about cars...but thanks for the correction..am as well opened to learning, anyways that why I refer them to the website where they could get a specialist for various vehicles on www.requestmechanic.com nation wide. My apologies 🙏

Hello Bosses and Gurus in the house, i need your help to get my car back alive an INFINITI FX45 2006. I got into an accident and had a few parts changed as well as body work mainly. After all the recognised damaged parts has been changed it became very sluggish and nothing even happens no matter how hard or log you hit the gas pedal. I had it scanned and the guy only told me something about the VB (Sensor), Airflow meter(Sensor) and Injector Mouth Sensor (not sure what this is or if i am correct) which was changed as part of the damaged parts. After a lot of research i figured there is something called Limp Mode and may be the issue. I dont have the codes and the electrician i called over to Scan told me he cant remember the exact codes so i may have to have it scanned again to get exact codes. I live in Lagos (Mainland) and would like to get recommendations and advises as well as a good Electrician / Mechanic. I've spent a lot on this car to give me issues now. Please help bosses.

Anybody with a scanner in Mainland (Alimosho) Ikotun should be please come to my rescue, i need a recommendation for a good electrician around me or able to conveniently travel to me (I mean not too far from me because most i can get now are kinda too far and it's not convenient for them). I also need a recommendation for the type of scanner to buy so i can own one myself to avoid these kinds of issues next time. Getting someone around me to come scan the car has proven to be a difficult task, imagine getting a good electrician. Gurus in the house please drop contacts to call, i'm happy to cover costs. The car is FX45 2006 .

Depends on how often you'll be driving it. If it's just to and from work and your office is not far from the house, you can buy.

If you'll be covering several kilometers a day in slow moving traffic, avoid it.

Its going to be my only car.
My house to the office is less than 5km.
I move from the house - office - church and thats the most of my movement. So i dont cover several Kms

You do not need such car. Get a small economic city car. It's better for you.

Seeing as your main issue is fuel economy, I'm not seeing any reason why you shouldn't buy it.

I haven't done the maths but your fuel cost in a month may not be more than 5k extra compared to using a smaller car.

Exactly my thoughts too, i dont think it will be a burden on fuel for me.
Afterall i was using a V8 engine just a few months ago and the price its going at a very cheap price.

It won't. You don't drive that much. My wife does 24km daily (Mon-Fri) on a similar vehicle. Takes it to church on Sundays plus occassional outings on Saturdays. She uses full tank of fuel in three weeks.

You do less than half of that a day. Full tank should last you 8 weeks considering that the Fx has a bigger tank.

Fuel economy is the most insignificant factor here. For such engines, you need them to reach optimal operating temperature and that they're not ran few minutes which will in-turn cause challenges.

Buy what you would love to be seen in and enjoy driving.
You should be fine coming from a V8.

Good day house,
Are there Infiniti Fx35 users (2003-2008) in the house?
How is your SUV treating you in terms of mechanical Reliability, electrical Reliability and fuelling cost especially this subsidy removal era that we are in?

I want to check something...

There's no such thing as an INFINITI with bad electrical systems. If your INFINITI is experiencing some electrical problem, blame it on you and your electrician.

Mechanically, they're very good cars as long as you take care of them and don't abuse them.
