bmw X5= 2008, infiniti G35= 2005/6...
The camry V6 is damn fast. With a 2007/8, quarter mile will be accomplished at mid 14secs or less. Same as the accord and the G35. But the G is RWD so i guess it'll be the best handler among these

Well you can not just compare Camry v6 to Infiniti g35. When talk about sharp fast cars Toyota or Hondas are not among this categories, the 2006 g35 comes with 280hp the 07g35 is 306hrsp while 2007to 2018 Camry v6 2GR comes with 266hrsp. Is not close to the infiniti at all not even bezE350 or bmw is as fast as the infiniti, Infiniti is the only japanese cars that meet German standard in terms of long lasting engine and standard ,body materials etc. I have used deferent cars, be Camry , accord, etc but I changed my options when I started using the g35, fx35 for many years now the far more reliable and long lasting with good maintenance.

Timing belt is rubber, it cuts and you park inside the bush.

that is far from the truth, that means you have no single idea of this brand, you see Infinitis are made for speed and any speeding cars don't use belt.

Infiniti uses timing chain both the gear, Infiniti has the most reliable gear and engine last longer among Japanese car we used in Nigerian. That is the fact.

Nigerians are sleeping on these cars. Close to two years using the G37, only thing I've replaced is the BCM and VVT solenoid.

The damage to the BCM could easily have been prevented if I knew what I now know.

Only thing I'll add is, if you don't have a sound mechanic and your mechanic is the type that uses tire in place of control arm bushing then these cars may not be for you.

How do u even bring or Toyota or Honda into this Equation Infiniti is not in the same class with these young Japs( Toyota/Honda).
For starters, the infiniti generates more Hp/Torque so how would they even match up?
When u drive the fx35 or 45 u will understand say power pass power!!!

It's written on its manual, also the 'feel' some CVT transmission gives. A rubber band effect.

AWD.

When it comes to a full stop at red-light, upon accelerating, it will be dragging for almost 2mins before picking up.

Then it makes a loud noise when shifting gear from R to D

The last time I replaced one (November 2023), it was a 2 wheel driver, it cost 380k in Abuja.

Hi Nissparts,

Nov last yr my Nissan Almera(2015) had some leg issues…I contacted you and you recommended a mechanic( Sebii) to me.

Fast forward to this year I’ve had cause to use his service again on an issue our company mechanic have been going back and forth on.

I’m jst leaving his workshop with all issues resolved.

Thank you so much for the recommendation.

Happy to hear that.

hi, Please i have Nissan Qashqai 2007, was working fine until suddenly it doent change gear anymore while driving. I can change to park, neutral, reverse and drive but it stays on just the starting gear, if i floor the accelerator, the rpm just increases and the vehicle can gain a bit more speed but the gear doesn't change, please what could be the issue.

It is a CVT transmission so I will advise you not to drive the vehicle until a diagnosis is done.

Contact Stallion. They might recommend an offline hand to take a look.

There are a couple of possible reasons why your 2007 Nissan Qashqai isn't changing gears while driving:

1. Clutch Issues (For Manual Transmission):

If your Qashqai has a manual transmission, the problem could be clutch related. Here are some possibilities:
Worn Clutch Disc: Over time, the clutch disc wears down, reducing its ability to grip the flywheel and transfer power to the wheels. This can cause the engine to rev high without accelerating the vehicle effectively.
Faulty Clutch Cable/Hydraulics: The clutch cable (or hydraulic system in newer models) transmits pressure from the pedal to disengage the clutch. If the cable is frayed or the hydraulics malfunction, you might not be fully disengaging the clutch, preventing gear changes.

2. Automatic Transmission Problems:
If your Qashqai has an automatic transmission, the issue could be internal to the gearbox:
Low Transmission Fluid: Automatic transmissions rely on fluid to operate smoothly. Low fluid levels can lead to slipping and difficulty changing gears
Faulty Solenoids or Sensors: Solenoids and sensors regulate the flow of fluid within the transmission to control gear changes. A malfunctioning solenoid or sensor could send incorrect signals, causing erratic shifting or inability to change gears.
Internal Transmission Wear: In severe cases, internal components within the automatic transmission might be worn or damaged, causing difficulty changing gears. These are issues an expert should be able to checkmate, but if the mechanic can't check these out he should run a scan to pin point the problem.. Copy and paste won't make you realise the car comes with a CVT transmission and not the regular automatic transmission.

Read your initial post and your response well.
If you understand how a CVT works then you'll know it does not have gears like regular automatic transmission and would not have erratic shifting of gears or slippage while shifting to another gear. You'd also know how not to always lift informations off the internet and paste all the time.
