As a chemistry graduate, you can start production of chemical formulated products such as, wall paints both gloss and emulsion, insecticide, laundry liquid soap, body deodorants e.t.c

Gone are the days where you start a business based on your profession. Let me give you a tip. Look at the market and see what products they need and their needs are not been met. Create or get the products to these people

As a newly graduated chemist. I think u are far from going into biz on ur own. However knowledge is power and money. There are many plants,roots and byproducts that can be sold in Asia
However it be more rewarding to process anything b4 u export no matter how small EVA.
Pls don't just import finished goods...starch extraction from cassava is very profitable, many more for plants for their element being used in cosmetics and all

If u decide u need a machinery for extraction , I'd be glad to work with u and if u need a market to supply, I could guide u too.

Apply as a technologist in any chemistry dept or lab in any university. That's one of the best option

Can you cut a deal with large pharmaceutical companies like Orange drugs and Emzor, and open a chain of (starting from 1) small, but authentic chemist in rural areas - small towns and villages.

As a chemist, if you can raise some funds, you can go into production of methylated spirit, ethanol for pharmaceutical companies, liquid soap, liquid air freshner, nail varnish remover, etc. You will be amazed at the demand for these products. Do your feasibility studies on the area you want to operate and build a business case.
I know folks that do these and they are doing pretty well.

OP, I'll advise you take up internship with any chemical company, be it a big one or a one man business. This should allow you have hands on experience about consumer needs and importantly the manufacturing process. It is not enough that you know those things in theory, you need to see them practically.

The experience you would garner should help you make decisions on which form of chemical venture you want to start, the prices of equipment and raw materials, and also insider tricks on how to produce the best results.

You may decide not to ask for pay during this period.
