That being said, until u pass thru sometins in life ... u would not knw exactly how it feels.
Came home last year n was at my sisters wen all of a sudden she started developin some symptoms. Usu it starts around 2 am after a very stressless or even sometimes event-filled day. She wl just start saying she is feeling weak...n within minutes she feels so faint n paralysed dt she wont be able to walk or even stand. We wl have to carry her off d ground n transport her to d hosp sometimes leavn d children at home (oldest was 9yrs old). Get to d hosp, pay all d deposits n by morning she is fine n fit..home n den nothin happens until d next episode. We tot it was some joke or due to stress. Dis thing cont, she even got pregnant n almost died during dt period. We started gettn worried ..took her to specialist hosp... (as a doctor I do nt bliv in al des juju plus ritual or spiritual tinz..atleast nt in relation to ur health). I started gettn worried wen non of d test was revealing anything. It all came back as normal
ECG, EEG, echocardiogram, BRAIN CT SCAN, abdominal ultrasound n CT, routine blood test, urine test, chest xray, and everytin possible. She consulted my consultants in LUTH even some in der private clinics (I used to work in luth, knew all of dem personally), cardiologist, neurologist, gynae etc...she saw some of d consultants at FMC ebute-metta. Stil nothing. All des happened last year...imagine d money n all, but by morning she wl be fine afta d whole nyt episodes.
Reality dawned on me wen I came home in january...and dis thing stl continued...see us running around in d middle of d nyt ...walkn frm home to hosp..infact on one of d nyts d doctor said he wasnt gonna see us..he thinks we r just disturbn d hosp.
I rmbr d day I was comin back to d UK, I slept ova nyt on d chair at FMC ebute-metta, I rmbr lookin in her eyes n thinkn dt was d last tym I was gonna see her...I rmbr gettn home packn al my clothes both clean n dirty n rushn off to d airport in a taxi ( no time for preparatn n d normal departure tinz), I rmbr running afta a pastor at d airport to please pray for my sis who was in d hosp (bliv u me I wld neva av done dis even if I was paid...but I ad to do it...its called reality)..I rmbr crying all thru d 6 hrs flight...I rmbr crying everyday I spoke to her afta dt...stl no diagnosis till date.
It happens dt she had one colleague at work who felt she ws more qualified for d post... n gist were spreadn frm d ppl she had confided in...
Long n short this thing continued until my sis went for d monthly prog in my parents church. ..n was prayed for...its six months now...we have nt seen or heard anything (it wl be permanent in Jesus name)...and she also left her workplace...n peace is wat she has known since then.
I do not knw wat to make of dis story myself...mayb if she was here in d UK we wld av a diagnosis...mayb she was suffering frm a very rare condition...bt d sudden onset n offset of d illness stil baffles me coupled wt al d surrounding stories...
I stll do nt believe in superstition...am stl a doctor who has got lots of respect for science and medicine. ..
But one thing is I believe in miracles...
