Definitely there such a thing as loving too much, but from experience, it usually adjust itself because the side effects from the other party show and every1 has their pride.

The probblem is when the negative effects of showing emotions start and the show of endless love continues like there's no problem. thats disastrous as the other party will take you for granted (there's no worse thing than this situation BELIEVE ME)

Hiding emotions is usually from the experience of being burned previously. This can be good esp. when you want to establish your position in the other party's world but it can get old and rather annoying esp when Patience is not a strong virtue.

Showing love is definitely a must but "forming" sometimes can have its benefits. Always keepp the other party guessing, make yourself a bit of a mystery but overall let the other party know you're there for them
