In light of the new information received, it has now been confirmed that this MI-35m wrongly captioned by me as Nigerian actually belongs to Mali.

I missed something very important, NAF's roundel which appears on all NAF aircrafts irrespective of cammo pattern.

I don't know if you have camouflage pattern consistency in your airforce but with the SAAF aircrafts (same make and model) are always painted identical to the nail which wasn't the case with the Russian Hind and the NAF Hinds.

This is possibly a Nigerian Super Hind in South Africa, don't mind the flag.

their is many pics of this ATE Mi-24 SuperHind Mk.III with this registration number ZU-BOI since 2006 , its not for nigeria wink , it an ATE demonstration and development model for costumers

ATE operates two Mi-24 combat helicopters. Bearing South African civilian registration ZU-BOI and ZU-GAL, these helicopters are used for development and flight-test purposes. Both helicopters are derived from a Mi-24 V (Hind-E). The first one to be operational, ZU-BOI, was used to develop the SuperHind Mk III. It carries most elements of the production Mk III's and is also fitted with a comprehensive flight test installation. The second Mi-24, ZU-GAL, is being used for development of the ''Agile" SuperHind. The Agile is an even more ambitious program, featuring airframe mass reduction and a more complex mission system.

Yeah, the Agusta AW109 is rubbish. We had 30 of them in 2006, 4 of them just fell of the sky. It performs bad inland since most of South Africa is 1500m above sea level.... Luckily we didn't buy 60 units as initially planned.

Sothies (Hope its not an insulting term) How far about the Denel G7

Article August 2016...Defenceweb

"Denel has not abandoned its 105 mm LEO artillery project and is looking for partners to conclude development of the weapon. This comes as Armscor has issued a request for information for light artillery for the South African Army.

According to Denel Group Acting CEO Zwelakhe Ntshepe, although the LEO was developed many years ago, Denel is now looking for a client to co-develop the gun. This would entail producing a prototype ahead of production. "Because of the nature of conflict you need a light air transportable gun. We have not abandoned that project," he said earlier this week, as Denel is looking for investors or partners to take it to completion.

A request for information has gone out for light artillery for the South African Army, which may be a launch customer for the weapon. Ntshepe said that if a South African requirement is limited, Denel will ask the South African National Defence Force if other investors can come on board the project."

...

"Prototype" in this sense is not meant in the traditional sense of the word. Prototypes have been built, tested and fired. Final stages to production is what's required.

Not yet in production. Once the market version is available, you'll see it mounted on the Rooikat as a demonstrator. Imagine a Rooikat firing 105mm shells at 32km range then hit 120km/h escape afterwards, it's infantryman's worse nightmare.

Assistant Chief of the Defence Forces Personnel and Logistics (ACDF P&L) Major General Samuel Nandwa, on behalf of Chief of the Defence Forces General Samson Mwathethe presided over the Matriculation of KMA cadets set to pursue Bachelor of Science in Military Studies at Kenyatta University main campus, Nairobi on 31st May 2017.
Speaking during the ceremony, the ACDF P&L Major General Samuel Nandwa said that the inception of this programme has marked a new era in the military through empowering intellectual capacity to meet the ever changing dynamics of global security. He commended the entire faculty of Kenyatta University for its tireless efforts in making the institution a center of education in the region. “The University has played a key role in various fields by producing individuals with quality training working in key area across the region,” he said.
The ACDF P&L Major General Samuel Nandwa said that the projected intention of the Kenya Defence Forces was to continue partnering with Kenyatta University in other fields like the Aeronautical Engineering by allowing students from the University to access facilities in the Military. He challenged the 148 cadets of KMA intake 07 to establish a long lasting relationship with the lecturers during their period of study. He urged them to maintain high levels of discipline and commitment.
Speaking during the occasion, the acting Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wainaina expressed his pride at the good relations between Kenyatta University and Kenya Military Academy through the training programme. “Kenyatta University takes pride in training military cadets for the last 7 years which is a remarkable achievement.” He noted that apart from training this programme, other programmes including Master of Arts and Philosophical Degrees respectively were on progress.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wainaina reminded cadets to embrace good qualities during the course in order to achieve results. He stated that since the course was not only theoretical and philosophical, he calls for extra hard work in line with the requirement of the course. “To be the best doesn’t come easily, you need to develop a personal strategy that begins with an individual.”
Present during Matriculation Ceremony were the Commandant Kenya Military Academy Major General George Owinow and Chief of Personnel Headquarter Kenya Army Brigadier Henry Ofula among other invited guests.
