Shame no dey even catch you? with all the money for EPL, Na only 2 clubs don win anything for Europe for more than 5 years now (close to 10yrs and it's only 2 clubs out of the whole pack?) . My league is doing justice to that department (LA LIGA)

Big names in the German league are Bayern Munich, Bayern Leverkusen, Dortmund, (Dayo abeg complete the rest jor tongue)
Stop fooling yourself. The only big team in Germany is Bayern, the rest are clowns. When last did any of those two win anything major?
dayokanu:

^^ Wolfsburg was still playing in division 2 in 1996 and narrowly escaped relegation in 2007 before winning the league in 2009
Fulham only got promotion into the EPL in 2001 and narrowly escaped relegation in 2008 before beating those two spineless German sides.

Don't mind them.Hamburg that won the old Eurpean Cup in 1983.Hamburg that former European Footballer of the year Kevin Keegan played for after leaving Liverpool in the 80s.

Based on your analogy, then we can prolly say Aston villa is a big club too, Nottingham forest is also a big club since they have both won European laurels before right? abeg stop spewing rubbish joor, The Dortmund you are calling rubbish were once giant killers, just because they have not won anything major does not mean they should be regarded as minor in their league, what do you say of Milan? Juventus and Roma? will you also say they are clowns because they are also yet to win anything major?
having an European footballer of the year does not make your club a big club bro, afterall we some of us know the clubs Pele and Maradona played for, so when did playing for a club translate to the club being a big club?

As for tbk, i hope you aren't expecting me to answer that question of yours? go back to your history books, check from 2000 to 2010, there you'd see the exploits the spanish teams did between the Champions league and the Europa cup.

Last time i checked, a Spanish team won the Europa cup and also the super cup.

Re: Bayern Munich Fans by Nobody: 9:29am On Sep 01, 2010

Because you're a mod doesn't give you the right to know it all.
I asked what Dortmund has done to be termed a big team of late and you're here yarning opaks about Aston Villa.
Why you nor dey answer question wey dem ask you? grin
And from what tkb brought, can Dortmund boast of what Hamburg has?
Oga stop this ya clowning and face reality,Bundesliga is shyte.Just because freak results happened over one weekend doesn't make it competitive.By your analogy, the weekend in 2008/9 where none of the big four in EPL failed to score should make the EPL competitive too. \

Can you kindly post that of Nottingham forest? are they also a big club since they have a robust history? how about Leeds United? what about Newcastle? maybe Aston villa too? are they also a big team since these clubs have robust history too?

for your information, a Spanish club won the last champions league before Inter, and the Europa cup has almost turned to a Spanish affairs.
The English clubs come to the UCL almost every day for more than 10yrs now, yet only 2 have been able to do anything tangible, compare that to what the Spanish clubs have achieved in 10yrs.

3 clubs from Spain won the champions league within the last 10yrs, only 2 did that from EPL.

when you come down to the Europa cup, you'd see the Spanish teams almost making it their birthright grin grin grin

if you want to talk about the Spanish achievements, come to the Barca thread, we can continue there ok?  cheesy

I never said i knew it all, i wanted to list the names of big clubs in German and if you think Dortmund is not a big club in Germany, then you don't know about them.

Nah, I rather watch the German league where i know 98% of the results can't be predicted than watch a league like EPL where i know who's to win the league even as early as the 2nd game of the season cheesy

abeg, i don tire joo, i just dey play oo, me no good like that for foreign leagues oo sad sad grin

Barcelona, Real Madrid and who?

lol

Forest, Villa and co dont have what i listed for Hamburg

Leeds had a semi final berth in UCL, Villa won once, Forest 2

Not only has Hamburg won the bundesliga 6 good times, they have won other trophies
thats what i call big.

Dortmund is a much bigger club than Arsenal is

They have won 6 Bl titles and won the CL in 1997.

The last time Dortmund won the league was in 2002, The last time Liverpool won their league was? The last time Arsenal won their league was?

When was the last time Juventus won anything?

Dortmund CL winner 1997,

Juventus CL winner 1996

Liverpool CL winner in 2005

Arsenal CL winner in 3903
Re: Bayern Munich Fans by ritchboy(m): 6:18pm On Sep 01, 2010

is your brain on leave? cheesy
Re: Bayern Munich Fans by dayokanu(m): 6:31pm On Sep 01, 2010
^^ What makes Arsenal on Dortmunds level to start with?

If they ask CL winners to come out can that useless club of yours show face?

If the ask Grammy award winners to show face, Can Daddy Showkey show his face?

The pinnacle of an acting career is to win the Oscar

the pinnacle of a football club is to win the CL

Has Dortmund done it? Yes, has Arsenal done it No.

Whats the basis for comparing Arsenal to Dortmund? Jersey colour or moronic manager?

talking about European achievements, La Liga have won the UCL 6 times in the past two decades, much more than any other league. That pretty much sums it all up. UEFA Cup/Europa League have also become a birth right for La Liga teams. La Liga is the strongest league in Europe
Re: Bayern Munich Fans by dayokanu(m): 9:48pm On Sep 01, 2010
I cant argue that La Liga is the top league in Europe followed by EPL and Bundesliga with the Serie A coming in 4th position
