Joshthefirst: does this mean that the consequence of that possibility is overridden? God exists. You claim he is a possibility. We claim to really know him as he is. The fact that you think he is not proved(which is false and foolish according to romans) will not stop him from judging you for your sins. Wrong. A possiblity without a single shred of evidence or reasonable probability has no consequence. It is possible that a plane could fall on my house as i am typing. Very low probability and no evidence that it will happen....hence, my building isnt protected with anti-aircraft technology |

My position is thus: I do not believe a conscious supernatural being exists within our universe. I accept that it is possible there's a Creator/Initiator though. Just like characters in a story can not interact with their author, and the author doesn't exist in their world. |

@ logicboy: South korea is NOT an exact replica of north korea without communism. |

italo: Thank you for this. This is the grammatical problem of christian apologists. Illustration; It is possible that I could be hit by a bus tommorrow but I disbelieve that it will happen ^^^ Now compare this with a disbelief in God; It is possible that Zeus exists but I do not believe in Zues It is possible that God exists but I do not believe in God. =========================== Somehow, Italo ignores basic commonsense to claim victory over atheists. Do you people see how desperation can lead you to foolishness? |

Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by italo: 8:00am On Oct 08, 2013 |
Logicboy03: You used to assert "God doesnt exist." Now you're are saying "he possibly exists but I just dont believe in him." I also believe jazz exists, I just dont believe in it." Lol... |

Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by Joshthefirst(m): 8:02am On Oct 08, 2013 |
Logicboy03:I wonder if someone was thinking this in his house when the dana aircraft crashed into it. He must have been thinking "there is extremely low probability that an aircraft will crash into my house" those in the WTC on 9/11 must have also dismissed a terrorist plane crashing into their building too. This is just an example. Smh |

Logicboy03: If I tell christians that it is possible that Beyonce and Rihanna will both spend next weekend in my bed, they will run about shouting that Alfa is dating Beyonce and Rihanna. It is amazing how a xtian brain works. |

Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by Nobody: 8:08am On Oct 08, 2013 |
italo: Understand this.....I take an agnostic position to gods in general However, when it comes to the 2 gods that I am conversant with (Yaweh and Allah), I make an exception to say that they do not exist. Why? Because from the claims of being omnipotent, they cannot exist. The have self-refuting qualities. Omnipotence is a self refuting paradox-p it can not exist. Now, this is just me- many atheists will just be ok to disbelieve and take the agnostic position all through.... |
Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by AlfaSeltzer(m): 8:09am On Oct 08, 2013 |
italo: That's irrational. |
Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by italo: 8:09am On Oct 08, 2013 |
Alfa Seltzer: I will answer him in the right thread. For this thread, we expect Atheists to do some answering for once. So far, they are scoring ZERO. They are even changing stance. All of a sudden, some believe God possibly exists. You better join this movement before its too late. |

He must have been thinking "there is extremely low probability that an aircraft will crash into my house" those in the WTC on 9/11 must have also dismissed a terrorist plane crashing into their building too. This is just an example. lol......I was waiting for this. Remember, there were two conditions -low probability -not a single shred of evidence Well, there is historical evidence for people using planes as weapons to blow up stuff. There was low probability of the airplane crash but evidence that planes could hit buildings I think I should have given a more abstract example that resonates with god ================================== Now God doesnt pass either of these conditions |

Logicboy03:I was commenting on the example you gave for pete's sake. Here's a question: could it be that you willfully ignore the evidences and sureties of God's existence? |
Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by Nobody: 8:21am On Oct 08, 2013 |
italo: Lol @ new converts. GOD is an ambiguous word. By God, what exactly do you mean? A conscious being that dictates and rules the universe? A summation of our ignorance? A being that initiated our universe and got killed in the Big Bang? Your argument fails to show how claiming 'a' doesn't exist is irrational, when we have no evidence for 'a'. What's truly irrational is claiming 'a' exists without any proof and asking others to disprove you. |
Re: Atheism Is Irrational. by Nobody: 8:21am On Oct 08, 2013 |
Joshthefirst: I was commenting on the example you gave for pete's sake. There is no single evidence for God. I wish there was but there isnt....be honest. |
