The truth is, I felt the rules on the phase 2 panel members were quite tough, especially the point you raised. If we can't be nominated (or self nominate) then why can't we nominate others?

Allowing members of the panel to nominate others would create an avenue for the other contestants to complain, especially when the nominee goes ahead to be one of the winners of the awards.

If we are to do our jobs as impartially as possible then we should not be allowed to present any candidate. It is not enough to be impartial, its equally important that we are seen as impartial.

For example, Alfa prides himself as an Advocate of Satan, Macof is a pagan, Ishilove is a fiery lady etc hence the depictions you noticed.

If it's any consolation, I also do not know how it was done last year and I am totally new to this, but I am not allowing that to deter me.
