In the garden of Eden after the fall of man, all the culprits were punished - the man, the woman and the serpent. None was spared. Everyone involved in disobedience will be punished, each will get his/her own punishment. Applying this logic then, all who took part in abortion is culpable and will be punished

l think it is the woman that should be punished for Abortion. Abortion is just an option and not the only option. You can as well choose to have the baby. Most cases of Abortions has to do more with young ladies than married women. It is a first personal decision which the lady takes before consulting a doctor. It is not the doctor or the govt that makes the decision. We should be responsible for our decisions and our actions.

Terminating a pregnancy doesn't have anything to do with any god or religion. Any bastard being brought into these world with no parental care is a burden to the society and the country at large. Don't you think it's better when people like Assari Dokubo, Stella Oduah and crooks alike are being terminated before coming into this world? Majority of these bastards are the one giving us problems today.

Abortion clinics should be legalized across Nigeria, we should not involve God or one religious sentiment into this issue. Population explosion is for real. We should not encourage our Nigeria sisters to be giving birth to babies with no parental or fatherly love for them. Someone was able to give me a gist regarding the last censor...he told me about a man that use to hawk fried dough/donuts for living, having four wives and over 1o children. I keep wondering, how can a man be hawking donuts and be able to cater for Four wives and over Ten children! The truth is, children being raised under these terrible conditions will be psychologically traumatized...it's unavoidable. And that's one of the problem we're facing presently in Nigeria. About the tale of a leader with no shoes!! Majority of our leaders upbringing were rotten, and traumatized psychologically. Nigeria is a country which is unfortunate of not having psychiatric and abortion clinics at disposal. These leaders, if they're subjected to psychiatric evaluation, most of them will shed tears by the time they start analyzing their upbringing which is traumatized with bad parenting or no parents at all. That's the reason the bitterness they've at heart is to finish us all based on their upbringing. They believed they suffered as children and the populace must share out of their suffering too. PasD: By the grace of God, and by the virtue of the position I occupy and my kind of job, I have come to see a lot of things as regards the removal of 'unwanted pregnancy'.

I went into study and critical reasoning and believe me, I found out that there is such thing as 'unwanted pregnancy'.

The Imo State government and the Clergy men recently had a brush over abortion law allegedly passed by the State government. But then, in an interview with the Imo State governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha, he explained thus;

"We are not passing this law to encourage young girls to prostitute and abort their babies, rather, our focus is on married women and eventually unfortunate young ladies that get raped".

Everyone somehow has a reason to every action they take and the decision they make.
In developed countries, for instance, where the government approves of abortion, who will be punished? The doctor who can be sued for denying a young lady her right? Or the government who have a very strong reason for approving the act? Or the young 'unfortunate' lady who one day finds out she has an 'unwanted pregnancy'?

Let's judge this both from a strict and a wide sense...

@ op women give their consent when they go to the doctor and make the decision to abort it , the father pays for it or claims he s not responsible, the doctors do their job once consent is given, the government is trying to make a decision to favor the masses and help the country grow because if they don't illegal abortions will persist in nooks and corners and all sorts of atrocities will persist. mind you I don't support abortion but every decision boils down to the woman, and parents take the decision for their children at times e.g. a 12 yr. old who was raped and out of naivety decides to keep quiet n then gets pregnant, would u expect them to keep it? or a pregnancy that puts the mother at a high percentage risk of death? just like saying, the inventors of condom should be punished, because it encourages sex between unmarried couples of which safe sex is being advocated all over because even wen abstinence is preached, what is the percentage of those who adhere?

I don't believe a doctor is under any obligation to carry out an abortion. If he is unwilling he has the right to refuse treatment as long as he uses proper protocol to fully inform his patient of his decision. While I don't subscribe to it, it is a safer for the doctor to refer the patients to where she can procure d abortion. So if he decides to do it, then God punishes him.

Yes d lady was molested and she did not plan d marriage. It may also change her life for good. But have u ever seen a child who got saved as a last minute decision blame the mother for not aborting him or her. No they will be grateful for the gift of life. The lady is not the author of life and even her own life which she claims to own is not primarily hers, hence she can't be making the final decision of what happens to her body. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit hence we can't defile it by killing a child. We all sin but it is not right to legalize a sin for our own convenience, that is why dis topic is highly debated. So a lady for whatever reason decides to take another life, then she is accountable to the One who created the life.

None of the above. Abortion should be legal in all countries around the world. Reason because, it would help in controlling population and crime. Most of the terrorists and criminals around the world today were not well taken care of from birth. This might probably be because the pregnancy is unwanted. Boko Haram insurgents and other insurgents around the world wouldn't have been a big problem around the world if these people were aborted when their mother got them inside.
