Nigerian Music In The Good Old Days by nanidee(f): 10:32am On Oct 23, 2013 |
Hey guys, so this morning, I woke up with a song on my mind... Ras Kimono's Rhumba style, and I have since been watching old school naija music with the likes of Onyeka Onwenu, Mike Okri, Sunny Okosun, King Sunny Ade, Majek Fashek, Daniel Wilson, Orits Wiliki and many more (Thank God for youtube). Whew...so many nostalgic feelings (I'm sorry if a topic like this has been posted in the past... just wanted to share) Enjoy with me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R84CMQjymyw 2 Likes |

- if u c my mama, oya ya! - which way Nigeria! There r many ever green ranging from highlife, juju, afrobeat, blues. Its jst pitiable dat majority of d songs we hear nw r craps. My album is filled wit 70percent 'pre-1990' music (call me archaic, I really dnt care). They are rich in words.. Today, 1c u can afford d 'luxury of a good producer, Big Dog Chain, Baggy Jean and Bogus T-shirts/Singlets sef, u can jst be aired on TV/Radio.. Them go call u rap artist. Jst know how to say 'your' 'your' 'ye' @ interval 2 Likes |

Good music, decent dressing, beautiful faces. No fvck fvck, baby baby, love love and nudity. It's such a pity that music was not that profitable those days. Those legends deserve to be finanacially OK. Who remembers Ras Kimono's "Natty goes to Jail" ? A natty goes to jail. . .para ra ram pam A natty goes to jail . . .para ra ram pam We've got to give him a little litttle We've got to let him let him get away . . . .
