nanidee: Hey guys, so this morning, I woke up with a song on my mind... Ras Kimono's Rhumba style, and I have since been watching old school naija music with the likes of Onyeka Onwenu, Mike Okri, Sunny Okosun, King Sunny Ade, Majek Fashek, Daniel Wilson, Orits Wiliki and many more (Thank God for youtube). Whew...so many nostalgic feelings (I'm sorry if a topic like this has been posted in the past... just wanted to share) See how little things bring big blessings, A simple act of starting this thread has brought back feelings of true joy to people who thought the good days are gone. Thanks for this thread and the download links. To the blazes with skelewu and its million videos 1 Like |

nanidee: Mike Okri... RumbaI loved this track. My favourite Okri song was one he did with one sweet voiced lady like that (can't remember her name). The chorus goes like this: "You are the one I want as a friend No one else No one else You are the one I want as a friend No one else" A lady was dancing ballet in the shadows throughout the duration of the video. Who has a download link please? |

Junior & Pretty Sadly at the peak of their career, Junior passed away on February 2, 2005 following injuries he sustained from a motorcycle accident. Pretty is presently an events consultant. Isaac Black For all his achievements and fame, award winning reggae musician Prince Isaac Black Egbeobauwaya died unsung and left a heart broken wife at the mercy of in-laws who accused the twenty-five- year-old lady of killing the husband. Evi Edna Ogoli Unable to cope with the sad reality of dwindling fortunes, in 1999, Edna-Ogholi decided to move to Cote D’Voire in search of bootleggers who were busy pirating her works. She later moved to Paris, France, where she is currently based. 4 Likes |

Drdaps: Ras Kimono, Lijadu Sisters, Sir Shina Peters, Uwaifo, Onyeka Onwenu and Christy Essien- Igbokwe Apart from Mandy Ojugbana, who has obviously taken to the air-waves for a promising career in the Nigerian electronic media, the likes of Uncle Tunji Oyelana, Hakeeb Kareem, Dizzy K Falola, Lorine Okotie, Alex O, Alex Zitto, among others could be described as most wanted music stars of yesteryears. However, in this concluding part of our series thatstarted last week, few of these stars of yesteryears have actually fizzled out while some have actually made a return to the game in which they set the pace many years ago. 3 Likes |
