What is remaining is polishing and beautification of the state, especially major cities and the state capital and reconstruction of some public schools and hospitals. Hopefully, his successor will do all of that and more.

Anambrarians are indeed lucky. Thank God the devil (Andy Ubah) OBJ wanted to impose on Anambrarians was sent packing by the courts. OBJ is very evil. Am very close that I know the workings of Obi administration. Obi gives out money to those organizations because they operate in Anambra. In one way or the other Anambra children attend those universities. Obi believes in holistic and monolithic development, not leaving one part to die off. All those organizations you listed are serving Anambrans. And if they are bad then their products will be bad.

Obi is a genuine administrator, he could have pocketed that monies but he chose to use it to improve public and private organizations operating in the state. Obi emphatically said that since those organization are serving our people, then they needs the funds to enable them serve us better. And he gives out the funds in the public making it impossible for anybody to siphon. And he has seen the improvement and deliveries that is why he is convinced intead of contracting the jobs out.

- How does Obi pick the private organization to give money to? Because every business falls into that explanation you provided, from the hawker on the streets to the spareparts dealers in Nnewi. They all operate in Anambra and provide valuable services to Anambraians. SO wouldnt it be unfair that Obi gives millions to one private school and does not give same to others?!

Remember that one of the fundamentals of governance is equality. So if the private schools are recieving pay from the government, then all private schools should also benefit from this largess.

- Also note that it is illegal for Obi to be handing out state monies to individuals for execution of works without going through the BPE.

You don't get it. Those are public and private organization that offer multifaceted services to the state more especially on education and health. And you can agree with me that health and education are the key areas of human endeavors. All the monies he has given are mostly centered on health and education related be that public or private, for the sole reason that it serves the people of Anambra and its residents.

Watch Obi closely he has never given money to politician to get their support or interest, he has spent so much on the low and middle class than the rich. The only rich people he encouraged are those people that had one or two things to offer the state mostly in the areas of job creation. That was why the like of Chikason, Innoson etc. come in.

These two companies are employing 100s of Anambra people. Obi did the same to Orange drugs at Harbour Industrial Estate by constructing a dual carriageway that led to his company and continued to Sabmiller, Krisoral group etc. Obi named that road after the owner of the Orange Drugs.

Government money = Public Money; Businesses pay taxes, levies, licences, permits, e.t.c, workers pay Personal Income Taxes, land taxes, water taxes, government bills, e.t.c, natural resources sales proceeds, foreign exchanges, e.t.c..

This government money is to be used for the general good of Everybody, equally.. Meaning, if the government uses public funds to build a facility, everybody who lives in the state and pays taxes has equal rights to use these facilities at equal cost or even free in some cases and nobody stands to benefit financially from these facilities but the government itself. And should there be a situation where preferencial treatment must be given for the use of such facilities, the people whom that government represents get priority....

#Government of the people, by the people, for the people.. Not Government of the people, by the people, for some people..



Now Madonna University & St. Pauls Universities are Private entities which dont pay taxes to any tier of government at all. #Fact! All proceeds made by the schools from tuition, research, sponsorship, e.t.c are non-taxble and the proceeds dont benefit the government in anyway.

Madonna University is owned by Rev. Father Edeh... All proceeds of the University goes to him. So we might as well say that Gov. Peter Obi took 100 million Naira of Public money and gave it to Rev. Father Edeh to run his business. The money was not a loan and didnt carry any clauses that offered any special benefits to the owners of the money which is the Anambra State people. Now if an Anambra son has to enter into Madonna University, he does not get any special treatment like a subsidized tuition or special accomodation or lower entrance cut-off marks.

Fine.. How about that woman whose shop is at Amawbia junction that sells commodities to Anambra people?! What of that Upper Iweka trader who also provides essential services to the Anambra people?! Dont they also deserve to get 100 million Naira as well?!


Now let me leave Education and move to Healthcare. The whole idea of government healthcare is for everyone to have access to the same level and quality of healthcare at an affordable price. so we all put our money together to sort of subsidize each others medical costs. Example:: OBAMACARE.. He didnt decide to give billions to one medical Insurance company because they were providding medical cover for U.S citizens, NO!! He rather set up a general cover that takes care of all Americans equally. Now how does the Anambra civil servant whose tax money makes up the millions of Naira that Peter gave to the private hospitals benefit from the governors largess?! If an Anambra woman has to undergo a surgery at Bennero hospital, does she get any preferential treatment, price discount, private ward, or anything as a part financier of that hospital?! NO!! Is the owner of the Hospital going to atleast pay us back the money with maybe an interest so we can call it sort of like a government loan business?! NO!! Its taxpayers money given to a private citizen for free with no special benefit to the public that owns the money..

Its called robbing Peter to pay paul..


Now let me move to Roads.. Its the governments responsibility to build roads. Giving money to private citizens to build their roads by themselves is both irresponsible and illegal. irresponsible in the sense that the government should already have a master plan for these roads with Urban and regional planning in the state. These roads should have a specification that they must be built to. so for Obi to just randomly give 65million Naira to organizations to build roads just like that is very irresponsible.. NOW!! for the benefit of this discussion, lets assume that Obi did give them the specs of the road. WHAT ABOUT THE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT LAW that says the jobs exceeding a certain amount must pass through the a Tender process in other to give everyone equal opportunity to get the work and for the government to find the best bidder for the job.

Nice lake view. I wonder what impact this hotel will have though since its very far from the capital, unless they dualize the road with streetlights straight to Amawbia from there. This is The only and decent govt project I have seen since my arrival here. Every other thing is the same. would have stopped to take pics but we in a hurry.

Did I hear you say the those organizations don't pay tax? You mentioned sole businessmen and women that they should have benefited also. Did you know that if Borromew hospital is in a bad shape today that you may be the victim of it tomorrow or your relation could be. And if their facilities are not good enough that your relation would have passed. You called it waste of funds when it is already yielding positive results

Obi is not looking at development from chauvinistic point of view. He sees development as a whole. So those organizations; schools, hospitals etc are giving Anambra people services that very key to the development of the state.

Did you see Obi giving money to hotels? He understands that those areas does not affect the state the same way health and education does.
