Your location matters,
Service history of the vehicles matters,
The current state of the vehicles matters also.

[Thanks.

What type of oil was used in servicing them?
Were the vehicles parked or still actively being used till now?

Mobil oil and they are still been used actively

There are many grades of Mobil oils, a lot aren't even suitable for your cars so I wouldn't know the grade used. That said, Toyota recommends a 5000miles/7,500 km or 6months oil change interval.
That said, I'd advice you continue to use the exact grade of oil used previously in servicing them.

Durability is subjective.

The Camry engine is atoning chain free from maintenance, the civic is a timing belt which should be replaced every 70kmiles

The Camry engine (I4) is 250k, while the civic is 120k.

Body and suspension parts are almost at par.

Greetings Boss Gazzuzz. I like what you did here. Please could you do same for me? I'm torn between getting a 2008 Lexus ES 350 and a 2013 Toyota Camry. Especially cost of replacing the major parts like Engine and transmission. Thanks.

The ES350 is notorious for transmission failure irrespective of mileage. I inspected a 90,000 mile ES recently that had a defective gearbox .

You are better of with the camry

parts are scarce, never drive through 2inches of water or risk damaging the electronically assisted power steering.

Boss GAZZUZZ of Life. Good Morning oo.

I am in the process of servicing my toyota camry 2006 (4 Cylinder, 2.4L engine) which i bought in february, 2020. I have not carried out a service before i started using but i feel the need to do so immediately being that i have started smelling that awful smoke smell while the car is on. Also i notice that it take a little more than 2 seconds after igniting the car before it starts (although im attributing that to the security feature of the car (my own opinion though and i might be right or wrong)). Now i want to have it serviced for the first time in my possession but dont know which engine oil grade i should use. I currently dont have the financial muscle to get the Mobil 1 engine oil i hear almost every one recommend still i would love your recommendation for a good quality engine oil for my car.

P.S recommendation is also needed for Transmission fluid and Brake oil fluid.

Thank you.

Good morning Boss,

From this picture, can you tell if this 04 Corolla Altis was converted or not?

Thanks

GAZZUZZ:

The sonata is preferably best gotten in 4cylinder. The Altis is a corolla. If you buying the Altis, ensure it is not converted.

That 2 seconds delay could be as a result of old engine oil in the car. It's common in BMW, if you fail to change oil when due you experience such. I don't know if same applies to Toyota.

You must not use mobil1. Search for any good brand of engine oil with the 5w30 weight. Don't be deceived , there are only two recommend oils it's either full synthetic or mineral. That semi is a scam.

Good luck

Please I need your advice. I changed the ac compressor of my 2003 toyota Camry and the ac guy connected the Fans direct. Now the engine is so noisy and the idle is above 1000rpm. I even noticed the car has started consuming fuel. Before the compressor was changed the aux fan only comes on when the engine gets hot. Please what can I do.

Go and change it back, connecting fans direct is wrong it will slow the process of the engine hitting operating temperature which would contribute to high rpm and fuel consumption

Good job being done here Oga GAZZUZZ,

I have some questions that I need your enlightenment,

1. Please can you give a name of any Good Brand of oil that you can recommend for either full synthetic or mineral, and which one is the best between the two.

2. And Again, is it possible to change the brand of oil someone is using for a particular car before to a new one, and if possible is there any side effect to this.

3. If someone want to buy a new shock absorber, which one can you recommend between the new one and tokunbo and must it be buy with a spring.

4. Which gear oil is good for a Toyota Camry 2000 model.

Thanks in anticipation as I'm waiting for your response.

If it is for a Camry 2000, kindly use mineral oil 20w50, available in most petrol stations e.g total.

Brand new KYB

DextronIII again most petrol stations try oando.

Thanks in anticipation as I'm waiting for your response.
