Why Rauf Aregbeshola May Lose. (the Education Sector). by OrlandoOwoh(m): 7:45am On Jun 28, 2014
No doubt, the outcome of the governorship election in Ekiti State last Saturday took the APC and Kayode Fayemi by surprise. People from the state and those from other states alike wonder why the state the prides itself as the "fountain of knowledge" should vote for Ayo Fayose, believed to be a murderer, against a technocrat like Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

No sooner was the result of the election announced than supporters of the PDP started saying the same feat would repeat itself in the governorship election of Osun State on the 9th of August.

I took my time to sample opinion from people in Ile-Ife, which I visit almost every weekend. From the opinion of people, I won't be surprised if the incubent Governor Rauf Aregbeshola loses the election. According to them, Aregbeshola does not carry people along in his government. He hardle consults. The worse hit, according to them, is the education sector. They wonder why, for example, the Governor should introduce a type of uniform for all primary schools and two types, one for junior and the other for senior, in all the secondary schools; in the state. How does one know the school of a child with no book on them hit by a car?

Building of new schools is another area. Why should the Governor select just a school in some towns to be re-built, they ask. Rather than the rebuilding of the select schools in some towns, blocks of class rooms should have been built in all the schools in the state like ex-governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola did.

The remodelling of schools which saw the emergence of elementary, middle and high schools taking the the places of primary, junior and senior secondary schools respectively, has had and still has adverse effects on pupils and parents. Some pupils were moved from their schools to others outside their immediate towns of residence. For example, some people were moved from Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife to Idita. Did Aregbeshola make any consultation before parents, knowing full well that they make up the bulk of those to vote.

Fayose won the election in Ekiti because of his popularity and not PDP. If Fayose had contested under a smaller party,he would have won too.
Is there any politician in Osun state who can beat Aregbesola in terms of popularity? Anyone?

Omisore,a Fayose wannabe.

LMAO!! grin grin

The photograph of the governorship candidate
of PDP, Mr. Iyiola Omisore, sitting on a
motorbike in what appeared a stage-managed
show of being with the masses has elicited a
trending wave of mockery as okada riders,
observers have described the photo as fake.
A member of the commercial motorbike riders
in Osogbo, Kamil Olaoti, said Omisore was never
known to have identified with the ordinary
people before. He said it was clear that now
that Omisore needs votes, he is trying to fake
identifying with the people.
We have seen photo of his okada riding, that
tells us that Omisore is fake. Fayose of Ekiti that
he is trying to copy is naturally a street man.
Omisore thinks the Ekiti magic can work in
osun.
Another okada rider, Mr. Oriade Ajasa, who
spoke with The Chronicle reporter at the Ota
Efun area of Osogbo said it was obvious is
looking for what will make him appeal to the
common man. But how can he appeal to the
common man when he has not been doing this
before?
The leader of the commercial motorcyclist in
Osogbo, Mr. Samson Egbetokun, said it shows
Omisore to be confused. If he likes, go and eat
booli and epa on the streets of Ilesa or Ila or
Osogbo, that does not change the fact that he
is not seen to be committed to the welfare of
the people.
“he is fake and nothing but fake. He was
senator and what did we benefit from him. He
should go and tell his party riding Okada

The governed are seldom fooled. Fayemi is a bad governor. Aregbesola is a bad governor. The reason why APC will lose almost all states outside of sharia zone is not coming to terms with their own level of poor governance.

From Ekiti to Edo from Adamawa to Rivers from Imo to Oyo the people have come to the realization that calling ones self a progressive has not made APC governance any different from any other. In fact they are worse off. Now they are burdened with more taxes and the money is spent on a few kilometers of roads always for over 1 billion Naira per kilometer.

Don't be fooled. The people are not fooled. All their leaders are THIEVES. They are just more resentful now of the thieves that tax them harder and borrow money only to travel by private jets and helicopters. The shame of governance in Nigeria is that it is imperial. The people hate hypocrites.

Need I remind you that Fayose contested in last senatorial elections in Ekiti under Labor party and lost (like Fayemi) to the APC. You have never been logical anyways.

Senator Iyiola Omisore is a very popular man in Osun state!!! and He's Ooni's favourite politician

Maybe APC capturing Osun made Aregbesola the man of the moment but that doesn't in anyway diminish
Omisore's popularity.
