In as much as it might be possible for some of the individuals at the vanguard of these lingering protests to have a motive (monetary, political, etc) of their own, I don't think it behooves our serving "secrete service" officials to publicly blow a head gasket over it. The worst they can do should be to gather the intelligence (assuming they're capable of doing that) and surreptitiously forward it to political appointee(s) of the president who will mouth it afterwards.



The fact that some of the protesting groups have a bank account is not an esoteric knowledge, it has been circulating on Nigerian blogosphere for as far back as the protests began, thus Marilyn doesn't need to come out in her typical mendacious style to tell us like it's a result of a meticulous investigation by her infamous organisation.


What can one even compare our DSS (SSS) with in relation to the United States security agencies and bureaus? Can they be compared with the FBI? Hardly. Are they like the CIA? Definitely not. Can they match up to the U.S. Secret Service? For where? ATF? No way.


So the DSS, in my own opinion, is just like an extension of the Nigeria Police Force, something like the CID of the good ol' days. Its name would have been more accurate and unambiguous had it been Department of Government Security because it protects government officials and their interests far more than it does the great unwashed.

In as much as I don't support the Nigerian security agency making such a claim, you can't compare the FBI,CIA,NSA or MI6 with our own DSS. do you know how the Americans or Brits hate this your so called "special force". they have the training no doubt, but are more corrupted than most forces you can imagine. even our police is less corrupted than the Russian counterpart

What if the DSS planted moles amongst the "bringbackourgirls" protesters there,to find out what's going on there? Let's not forget we're talking about the spokesperson for our secret service here;they probably must have done a few checks,to know what's going on.
