Ubenedictus: so what would be right? What happened to the church founded by christ 2 Thes 2:3-7 3 Let no one seduce YOU in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. 4 He is set in opposition and lifts himself up over everyone who is called “god” or an object of reverence, so that he sits down in the temple of The God, publicly showing himself to be a god. 5 Do YOU not remember that, while I was yet with YOU, I used to tell YOU these things? 6 And so now YOU know the thing that acts as a restraint, with a view to his being revealed in his own due time. 7 True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work; but only till he who is right now acting as a restraint gets to be out of the way. |

Ubenedictus: Hmm, quoting me after almost 4years? I left the thread then cos I know u guys are a lost case and would not disturb n waste my time over nothing. NB Tho I might oblige u if u open a new thread and we thrash one question at a time, I mean one question at a time. This thread had long lost its course. If not please don't quote me again 1 Like |

PastorOluT:actually you promised on the thread that you'll be back to answer those questions, that is why you were given time.... only now you have changed your story. no wahala, i may very well create another thread when I have the time... but that doesn't excuse you from answering the questions you earlier promised to answer here. 1 Like |

PastorOluT: Haba!! This is deplorable. Your initial excuse for not returning was this: PastorOluT: And that is quite different from what you are now saying: PastorOluT: I believe 4 years is ample time to respond and fulfill a promise. You can't say that in the last 4 years you haven't been able to find 5 minutes to answer a simple question on NL. ( What happened to the Church that Jesus founded?). You have contradicted yourself. Why did you run away from this thread? First you said, the only reason that you didn't return was 'chance'. Abi, you just didn't have the opportunity to return. But now you are telling a different story. You say the reason that you didn't return is because you 'know u guys are a lost case'. Which one is it? Since you haven't come back to address the question in 4 years can we then conclude that you are indeed not a Sincere man as you said? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

PastorAIO: I will oblige the last mention cos probably u might have problem with comprehension. Check the interval of the two responses u called contradiction? I rightly promised to come back when i have the chance which I did reading through the thread, but when I saw what was happening on the thread I lost interest cos l no longer see reasons for the discourse. So please comprehend that and don't mention me again. 1 Like |

PastorOluT: So it took you 4 years to change your reason for not responding. In those 4 years you didn't have 5 minutes to respond. Even your response to my post, abeg, it wasn't necessary. I don't need it. You should have used the energy and time to respond to the initial question. What happened to the Church that Jesus founded? |

PastorAIO:Smile, its all over the world but surely not the Roman Catholic statue bowing Papacy controlled "monarchy". And pls don't quote again on this thread less I report u, if u wanna discuss I have said u open a thread as we thrash one question at a time as this thread has outlived its relevance. 1 Like |

PastorOluT: You weren't asked WHERE the church is but WHAT happened to the church. In other words trace for us the narrative of its history. Let me even add one more question of my own. Do you consider yourself to be a member of this church? If yes, as a member can you trace your tradition in the church back to the apostles? |

Geist: The Metropolis of Corinth, Sicyon, Zemenon, Tarsos and Polyphengos (Greek: Ιερά Μητρόπολις Κορίνθου, Σικυώνος, Ζεμενού, Ταρσού και Πολυφέγγους) is a metropolitan see of the Church of Greece in Corinthia, Greece. Since the Middle Ages it has also existed as a Roman Catholic titular see. The current metropolitan (since 2006) is Dionysios Mantalos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_of_Corinth Good ol' Wiki. 1 Like |

PastorOluT: PastorAIO: And furthermore, the Church in Rome, which Paul did not Found but he wrote at least one letter to is also still in existence today. |

PastorOluT: I had wanted to comment on the first church before I saw someone question it. I don't know what could rightly be termed "available" in your comment. I think the churches in Rome were among those that came from the preaching work done during and after Pentecost. That they were among, does not mean that only the ones based in Rome are the only ones. Again, I don't know the context in which you use "available". Other churches were available, but may not have been as prominent. All churches are offshoots from what Jesus established in Pentecost. After all there were other churches or groups that had there beginning from Jerusalem during Pentecost and others began by the ministry of Peter, Paul and other ministers. So this first church mentality is hilarious. |
