markpenk: I wonder why we need all these public holidays. We're a poor country with intellectually impoverished leaders. Yet we're going on holidays all the time when we should be working our a*s*s*e*s off to become a significant country that matters in the scheme of things. The BRICS nations met a few days ago to set up a bank that'll effectively compete with the IMF and World Bank. South Africa was one of those nations. Are we not in the same Africa? Only the wealthy nations should be able afford the luxury of rest and holiday. They've earned it. Not the poor, impoverished country with a doubtful future called Nigeria. I shake my head in pity for this country!
u wan work die? when holidays were not declared, what did we do with our working days? The bottom line is, we don't have visionary leaders that can propel the needed change

Bro... let us work and become producers. The only thing we produce in this country is .... NOTHING! I've heard we have a service based economy. I don't see it. We haven't earned these public holidays. We need to work hard until we attain some sort of significance. na person wey don work make sense suppose dey chill dey flex. Just my 2 cents.

Errr... and how is that different from what I already said? Is that not the same thing? Did you even read my post? GO through it again. Did I NOT mention SA? Isn't SA in Africa? Aren't we technically "the giant of africa"?
crowntoro: BRICS_ brazil. rusia India. china, south africa. south africa is the only africa country amongst the BRICS nations
